Is your cat did not afraid with the sound of the gun while it was on the process of firing?

What sound is that? Have you heard a Cricket being fired? The planetary gears in the cat’s rear axle is louder than a properly silenced/vented Cricket!

Yes on the new farm the cats clean up a lot. Not so much for the other ones

If you mean the factory OEM shroud, it’s okay.

But it can be made better.
Like Donny, I have been experimenting with new ways and designs but I’m not interested in selling them.
It’s just to educate myself in the art and science of.

GKU. LDC collection are they this bad?

:biggrinn: lol ……….. … .

I’ll be awaiting to get one soon, but my LDC collection has grown.
I believe because of Donny, it’s a very good time to silence ones Cricket(s) !

Thanks Zonk for the added Info !

Nice kills eelect !!!!!!!!!

GKU, no comparison. I got to test each of Donny’s inventions. The “SOS” as you call it is very nice and works well. BUT, his new and improved shroud with his new LDC is awesome. There is no comparison between the two. His latest and greatest is a lot quieter…
When I first tested his new combo I just stood outside my barn and just shot one after another in disbelief, mag after mag. I just :biggrinn: as I couldn’t believe how quiet it was. And no I don’t get a kick back…..damn it! That tight Bastard!

I have one farm where they have two barns, cows in one and pigs in the other. Hundreds of bird in them eating feed. Donny’s Shroud and LDC make’s it very quiet inside but it’s hard to find a good backstop inside. My best shooting is when I walk through each barn scaring the birds out and then :5: them.

The Donny’s Slip-On-Shroud (Donny’s SOS) is also very shhhhhh !!!!
They can’t hear it coming and that alone increased my rate of kills !

How does it compare to his CF two piece Shroud and LDC ?

Zonk do you ever go into staging area where cows eat and later go in for milking? I checked it out last week. There is lots of opportunity there but the cows are uneasy with me shooting in there. The pellet hitting the wood makes a heck of a racket. The gun report could be quieter too. Is that whey you have a different shroud? I’d like to know as I’m looking to upgrade my 177 to a cricket as the report on the rainstorm 177 is nothing too quiet either.

OH HELL YES!!! I’m always looking for a good back stop. My shooting barns are all steel sided so no mistakes. I try to be very careful.

Zonk, you never take a shot at birds where the pellets have a 2×4 backing

Hey Elect, when you do pest control for farmers what do you do with all you’re kills? If you eat them its way too many to keep, I see some guys with 50-100 birds at a time. Do you disposed of them or does the farmer?

I only dispose those who are in the way. Like on well traveled areas. You also don’t want to make it look like a battle field. I really gave not discussed disposal with them. Just use common sense

Mike what I do is just drive into the farm and ask. 9 times out of 10 you’ll get permission to shoot. Make sure you tell them that ALL shots will be taken with a pellet rifle and that you won’t shoot toward any buildings or livestock.

Ginuwine, the farms that I shoot at all have cats. Damn near as fast as I shoot birds the cats get them and haul them off. One farm has two red tail hawks that hang around, they clean them up as fast also.

Eelect good to see your back at it. Hopefully you’ll find more farms. The one’s I have is more than enough.
