Q:

Problem with cocking my Edgun

I have had my Edgun R3 .22 cal standard for about 6 months and have made no adjustments to it yet, as I am still in the breaking in process.

The gun occasionally failed to cock when pulling back the bolt, and now it fails to cock about 90 % of the time I pull back on the bolt. Can someone tell me exactly what adjustment I need to do so that the gun will cock correctly? Thanks so much.

A tab of i.ex silicone adhesive/sealant (the kind you use for sealing bathroom tiling etc) works well too.

I had the same problem, – but solved it this way. Simple and effective. This nut is moving nowhere unless I ask it to:

I´m also 99.8% sure it´s one of those reasons. Been there-done that …

Yup what he said^ … a small drop of thread lock will stop it moving or add another nut or lock nut to it.
Something else to watch for is making sure when you tighten your stock removal screw that the trigger is central in the slot cut in the stock.. it is possible for the top of the trigger to rub on the stock.

Remove your stock, there is a little nut on the shaft that connects the trigger to the sear that puts pressure on a thin spring . just tighten it. You don’t need tools, just use your fingers.
That little nut tends to loosen up every so often and your trigger will fail to go to the forward position after shooting.

Is your trigger screw adjusted to far not allowing sear to engage?
