problem with condor, need help
hi freinds ,
i need ur help usinng condor .i filled my condor tank twice and both time all air come out with bang .now me and my wife are scared of filling and using it. the air blast is loud andwe both felt heavy recoil as of heavy magnum rifle. a freind of mine says it can happen with new tank once or twice .but i am not sure about it .pls help me

I see you are in india, so it may be hard, but is there any way to send it to airforce to get them to fix it? That sounds like there is something that really needs to be fixed by them, especially if it’s under warranty.
sounds like the hammer is binding up with the extra spring tension behind it….Im just not too shure how to fix that … ❓

today i retested the condor and find that this gun is firing well when there is no pellets in gun even in full pressure and fuul power i.e. 13 power wheel setting , with power setting on 6 with pellets gun shoots without problem , air come out with bang 0nly when power wheel turned to 12-13 setting and gun fired with pellets,it means gun has a problem when fired at full power with pellets,
now i am not sure that this is problem of hammer or tank valve ,after all what causes problem when power wheel turned to maximum and how it affect air flow.
pls -2 help me as i am new to condor, can a new tank will solve the problem

When installing the Tank on the Rifle the Breech should be in the forward, cocked position.
Is the tank hissing before attempting to screw into the rifle?
Is the breech hard to move forward at first? I’m thinking that the hammer and or breech could be jammed a bit in the rear, fired position. Probably nearly impossible but…..
The big bang probably startled you but did you notice if any of the escaping air was venting at the front or rear of the breech? Oh, did you look through the barrel to see if there may be an obstruction?

everyone fo kind help,yes bang happns when pellet is inside the breech but both time pellet is seated properly.today i found my gun leaking while i tried to insert air tank in gun.same happened while air tank is being unscrewed from gun.air is leaking with fissing sound. i am new to condor .is there is some thing wrong in my airtank or air leakage while screwing/unscrewing air tank in gun is normal

Reduce the tophat setting to 0.075″ or so for starters, start with perhaps a power wheel setting of around 50% what ever that is. Fill to 2500psi and try again.
Seat a pellet in the barrel and see if it will fall back out.
A tank dump occurs when the feeding pressure is maintained higher than the closing forces of the valve.
So you may even have a poorly set valve spring. These valves need the valve spring to assist closing.
Go at it again and see what happens.

Did you have a pellet in it when you fired it? I know AF says that will happen if the pellet is not seated correctly.

The cause for this is almost always a pellet that was not seated deeply into the breech. The skirt is blown against the breech face when high pressure air first hits it and creates a high pressure air seal that forces the valve to remain open. To load a pellet, cock the rifle and leave the bolt forward, exposing the breech. Push a pellet all the way into the breech with your thumb
yes sir ,
after filling the tank i put it on gun ,cocked the bolt and fired .
and then the BANG.
all air came out at once,there is no air left in tank

Are you saying when you put the tank on the gun and shoot it the bang happens?

is this a .177 condor? my guess is that it is, what is happing to your gun is common with this set up and the fix is to replace the valve spring in the tank with the correct one that can handle the back presser that is present when trying to shoot such a small pellet with so much air, for some reason air force is quite aware of this problem but refuses to publicize it or let the customer no about it when they try to order one in this configuration, one other fix would be to just get a .22 or .25 barrel 😉
