Putting together a shoot
I read the P.A. report almost daily. I was wondering if there was any interest in putting together a A.F. guns or any airguns shoot? I know were all scattered all over, so i’m just throwing this out there to see who’s where. I know Adam is down south somewhere (where are you Adam? L.A.?) I’m in Merced,CA. which is in the central valley, two hours south of Sac., one hour north of Fresno, two hours east of (Heaven aka Monterey) the coast. Two hours west of Y.N.P. I’d be more than willing to drive two hours in any direction if we could put something together. Is there any interest?

I just watched a documentery on history channel saying they are having a big problem with feral and stray cats in new orleans. They are too wild to have as pets, so they catch them, nueter them, and release again.
I think we should have a trip to new orleans. Everyone bring lots of fish and cat food. 😀
There are two Condor and two Talon owner/shooters in the guys I shoot with. 3 of us shoot every Wednesday in Livermore, Pat joins us when he can (not often, he works for a living you see…..) but I bet he’d be in for a group shoot.
There’s a third Condor in the group, but John’s .25 is back in the shop, he still hasn’t sorted it all out yet.
Too bad there’s not any good public hunting in the area.
If we can sort out a good time between heatwaves and figure out a good place I can guarantee at least 3 of us……

Blah! It put me in Spokane WA, but I’m in Kennewick WA (good 2 hours away…). Who else is in the Tri-Cities? I see someone else’s marker set for Richland/W Richland!
That would be 162 miles give or take. And yes it just a little worse than where you are. But at least we don’t have those kind of trannies here.

Is it safe to ASSume you also mean 40 miles S.E. of the city? Sounds like you and I aren’t that far apart. Where do you go to shoot?

I say we all meet up some place in the desert, hike out 2 miles from any road, and start shooting 😀 That is what I have been doing in Simi Valley, and it has been working out great. We could even try some 200 yard shots and such. Man this would be a blast!

My town is about the same way… if you drive around for about an hour in the middle of the night and count cats, you’ll see over 100. One of the towns ex animal control officers was a buddy of mine.. we used to drive around with a .22 RF. The skunk and cat population was cut down somewhat.
