why is .25 seem so popular – is this the optimised calibre for the air rifle? ❓

I have had some superbly accurate LW barrels. Particularly in Daystate guns but also in a Air Force.
Wingman posted a pic awhile back of a pellet fired from a Vulcan ( forgot the caliber )
Looked to me like urskay brod upgraded on mandrels.
I would think they are stepping into .25’s with all the interest in the USA
I think my 22 Cricket is a Little more accurate than my 25 Cricket, But my .25 kills a lot better than the 22.
Did I read right where the new .25 Vulcan will have the CZ barrel?

Add me to that list, besides one lone crossman that’s all I own.
I believe that the CZ barrel is better than LW. That’s why I buy guns with the CZ barrels. That’s what I believe so you guys just hold tight

CZ barrel vs. LW barrel?
is 0.3 calibre not worth considering then – too many disadvanatges? expensive pellets, loopy trajectory, less range?
accuracy between the two is rifle specific, not choice of caliber……….except as you go long the .25 takes over.
Every once in while there is a really smart blond.
Which reminds me.
How many blond jokes are there?
None .
They are all true,

Well said !!!
The .25 is the brunette of air gun calibers so yes.
Interesting I didn’t know the 25 was better for range. Makes sense. I had noticed that higher fps seems to flatten trajectory. Thanks Keyser.
No the 25 has a better BC. Long range shooting with a PCP the 25 is far superior compared to the 22 The other factor is the 25 can handle more speed. I have shot the JSB kings from 850 to 980 with good results. Higher velocity will give you a flatter trajectory.

Yes the Vulcan has a CZ barrel with a 450mm twist. (1:17). I agree with Leaddy the CZ barrels have been VERY accurate. First I had a Cricket with one, then the Vulcan and now the Taipan. All three have been exceptional.
