Q:

Quick Q. about air cylinder.

Hi guys,

i want to make a longer Air cylinder for my HW-100 (200BAR) but i just want to know a couple of things for safty.

1-If i use Aluminum, how thick should the walls be ? A guy made one thats 1 1/4″ x 3/16″ tube is that strong enough !?

2-What about the threads ?

3-Would you recommend Stainless Steel ??

Thank you 🙂

Niceee!
Is that the FAC version, cause it has a longer barrel, to make things easier i just opened up my tank & was just going to make the tube & use the older ends on it.

Do you have the drawing for these ends ?

I made a longer cylinder for HW-100 from alluminium alloy D16T (stronger than 6061 but weaker than 7075). Outer diametr is 37 mm, inner diameter 30 mm. Metric thread M33x1.5.

Reservoir was hydrotested up to 450 bar – to check. Everything was well – no deformations.
