Q:

quiet condor?

i have a .22 condor, and need to shoot some squirrels in my dads back yard that are taring up his garden and the neighbors are feeding them. he lives in a neighborhood where everyone is close, and i was planning or shooting them from out his backroom. i was wondering if i buy a 12″ .22 barrel with the end cap how much will it quiet it down, i am shooting kodiaks at 975 fts witha 24″ and it is way to loud, also i don’t wan’t to spend to much money! and 113 dollars is not to bad.

I was referring to a Talon Tunes shroud.

A good shroud also costs $200.

no it doesn’t 😀

I built mine for about 5 bucks in washers from ace, some scrap copper tubing, and an old tent pole I found in the shed. all you hear is the hammer and tank twing.

edward – take a look in the shroud section, get some ideas and head down to ace.
good luck – GTBjay

if you need a 12″ barrel, let me know. I’ve got an extra one that I am going to post shortly.

You should have gone TSS route if that backyard is only place you shoot at. In your case I’d get Bill Leavel’s shroud for $50.00 and also turn the power down on your rig: 700 – 800 fps . Or just shoot something heavier like EJ. Then you’ll really enjoy it. That condor is a pure overkill in most cases, especially in backyards…

A good shroud also costs $200.

A stock Talon SS will shot Kodiaks at ~760fps and its not that quiet. With a Condor air source and 12” barrel the fps will be faster and noise level louder then a stock TSS. A shroud does wonders in quieting things down.
