R3M Leak
Had noticed a few months ago that my R3m would lose about 300 psi while sitting in the case for a couple of days. I wasn’t really concerned because it would not go any lower plus I was shooting it weekly. Took it out if the case today and the gauge was on zero, filled it up and when I pulled the fill probe out I could hear air hissing out of the fill port? Any ideas?

It was dry.
Tighten it until it squishes a little. Then back it out a 1/4 to 1/2 turn. It doesn’t need to be tight in order to seal. Too tight an the gun will not fill or it will fill very slowly.
Just an observation that Oring looks dry. How to tell if it is warn look for a double ring where the screw head made an indent on the oring. I would suggest if it is leaking just replace it.
Is this the culprit? It was a little loose when I went to remove it. How tight should it be?

If you speak one year that means 200+ pellets/day if you shoot all 365 days of the year.
Money wise, caliber dependant, you shot something between 5K and 10K of USD out of the Edgun barrel in one year? 😯

Since you own also many other guns, may I ask you the overall number of pellets you shoot per year?

You lucky guys, apparently you have the whole day long time to shooting guns.
Personally even if I could do this the whole day long I wouldn’t shot so many shots, I like taking my time when shooting, aiming and shooting slowly “with pleasure, tasting every shot” like with a precision gun and not like a full auto machine gun.

One question and sorry for hijacking the thread….i always seen a green grease on my Matadors when i get them first time from Ed…Ed is using a green grease…dose anybody knows what is that Green Grease?? Or Ed can you let us know??
It’s not a year old , it older than that. I got her in 2013. Yes I do shot it every single day. Sometimes shooting 2 tins in a day just looking for the holy grail; the perfect tune. There is no black left on the magazine port. Really it sounds like a lot but shooting 4 tins a month is not that hard. Those who know me know I shoot an obscene amount. There isn’t a guy here who who hasn’t been on the phone with me and said “are you shooting right now” I must confess I had to replace my green EDgun case.
I know guys on this forum who have shot way more than me through their R3M. If you paid attention you’d know I have owned all the bullpups but only for a short time. They all have sold already yet my old scarred up Maddy never has been in the classifieds.
I used to be a hardcore FITASC shooter, the pellet gun hobby is way cheaper

Damn, that’s ~500lbs of .30 cal lead or 285lbs of .25 cal lead..well you get the point.Treat em right and they will run. Well, most of the time at least! :winkn:
