R3M Leak
Had noticed a few months ago that my R3m would lose about 300 psi while sitting in the case for a couple of days. I wasn’t really concerned because it would not go any lower plus I was shooting it weekly. Took it out if the case today and the gauge was on zero, filled it up and when I pulled the fill probe out I could hear air hissing out of the fill port? Any ideas?

Fine dust will also cause a leak. I often shoot pests on a cattle farm. The livestock pound the dirt into a really fine dust. In this situation I blow out the fill port before inserting the fill probe. I made 80K rounds before I had to change the oring. I was a little disappointed in the EDgun since it lasted 80K rounds, I mean what a boring gun to own right? 😈
If you want a new Oring here is the size:
2.57 X 1.78MM
To install it follow Ed’s direction but I’ll add one thing. Tighten the Oring until is squishes a little then back the screw out 1/2 turn. If you over tighten the screw on the Oring it will fill too slowly. It just needs to seal, not be squished.
It happens when people use pumps instead of filling guns from tanks.
Yeah, I am pretty positive that’s the case. I had the same issue. You should also protect the filling port. I used an ear plug.

Some dirt under the O-ring in the fill valve. Take off all the air from the air tube (be sure it is zero bar). Then unscrew three screws of the front plug, take it off, check out the O-ring of the filling port. Clean it, grease with sylicone lubricaion, install everything back. Use it with pleasure.
