i don’t think you have enough ass to push that heavy a slug to a reasonable velocity. check out “.25 cal. shot string and jerry’s slugs” on the previous page and it will give you a good idea of what to expect.

Just letting you know, my tuned Condor tanks push . 22 Kodiaks at 1050-1080 Fps with just my hammer and no additional hammer weight……..just fyi

there is talk of a rabid coyote running around my neighborhood. It attacked a small dog and the owner described it as “crazy”…I set up my night vision on the .25 so hopefully I will get to put one of these 7 rings to use! 😛

I’ve never tried to get BC numbers for the .25s but I have for some other slugs. I only have one chrony so I used a gun that I could tether to a regulator for best consistency and then recorded about 6-7 shots to get an average velocity at 4 yards from the muzzle. Then I moved the chrony out to 40 yards and recorded 6-7 shots again. Since the velocities were very consistent to begin with, I had good average values to use with an online calculator.
I don’t believe a bc has been established on barnes slugs. I have managed a 2.5″ group at 100 yards with the 7 rings.
Just the other day I set a 2×4 30 yards out and my AAA condor sent a 7 ring clean through it 😎 Last time I checked I was getting slightly over 100fpe with them.
