Q:

raiising Condor velocity

i don’t think you have enough ass to push that heavy a slug to a reasonable velocity. check out “.25 cal. shot string and jerry’s slugs” on the previous page and it will give you a good idea of what to expect.

Don’t think AF will do any exchanges. There are replacement parts. Check the quick ref section for valve diagrams and photos. You will need to break her down to see what’s what.

be4,

Your slugs are being cast as I type. Have you sorted out your .25 barrel and tanks/valves? You’ll want to be able to push kodiaks a lot faster than mid-800’s to have the power for the heavy slugs. I’d like to see over 1000fps with pellets and then you’d probably be set for 6 or 7 rings.

That about right. (Not that it would be wrong =) ) I was testing some 6 rings and with them at 850 fps I decided to try some 25.4 kings they were at about 1060’ish.

So 850’s are good for the 6-rings? would think so- anybody else got feed back? Thanks

Haven’t done much accuracy testing but 1.5″ groups at 50 easy. Also I’m a animal shooter not a paper puncher so they could be way better especially if rested. I was shooting prone. What length is your barrel? I have an 18″ so I’m prob gunna go to 7 rings at 800 for better overall efficiency.

Boy, I’m glad to see my estimating skills remain intact! I hope the 6 rings are working well for you. The numbers show a 50% increase in energy from the JSBs to the 6 rings. It would be neat to see what the enegy difference is at 50-75 yards or so, I’ll bet it’s considerably higher.

BTW, if you’re making almost 100fpe with the 6 rings, the 7’s will probably work well too. The 9’s will be pushing it but if you can turn it up just a hair…they’ll knock the snot out of things at 100 yards!

😆 Yeah they are great! You read my mind as I like the 7’s better I think 😆 I plan on testing that! I bet the bc will be very high with these!
