Removing tension from Matador barrel
Saw a video where tension is removed from the barrel of a Matador and it caused the groups to tighten up.Is there any truth to it? ❓

Was that the clip that was in Spanish, I think??? I caught their drift but didn’t understand the commentary. Oh if I only learnt better Spanish and got me some Russian. 😕
Not definitive by any means, but I experimented with this on my first .25 with 3/4 and 1/2 turn relief from factory tension and I didn’t note much difference, like that indicated in the video. Tony R consulted with Ed and said to give it a try. The adjustments didn’t have the hoped for results. That gun had accuracy issues, though, and was returned. I still think it might work, so I plan to dink with this gun and see if It helps to shave a little off the group size, as this gun has got a great tune and is pretty accurate. I’ll report back, as this would be a very easy way to “accurize” the Edgun.
