I had the same thoughts, had airforce a manual safety, I wouldn’t have removed it. When I hunt a pellet is loaded and the condor is uncocked. When brought to battery, haft to release that dam Automatic safety. Remove the safety and still use the same procedure. Now no automatic safety to release.
In the military Gun Classes they taught that no such animal as SAFE gun. So a safety does not make a safe gun. Muzzle control, did I say muzzle control. Muzzle control is the only thing that prevents accidents, not gun safeties.

Accidents can happen…So I prefer to have the manufacturers safety in tact and functional. If there is an accidental discharge of serious consequence I would rather question the manufacturers design than automatically being suspect of unauthorized modification of a dangerous weapon that caused property damage or personal injury.
Maybe after years of shooting experience I’ll also feel confident enough to shortcut the AF rifle safety design. It may be a bothersome procedure for an expert but I’m far from that point.

This here is my safety
