Scope riser rail
Does anyone know where I can purchase a 200mm plus long 11mm scope riser rail, preferably in the UK, but not too important if post is quick. I think there’re called a tri-rail.
Thank you………

The tri-rail is a scope riser, it lifts the scope parallel to the original scope rail.
You are talking about an adjustable drop rail, drop in the sense of angling the scope with relationship to the barrel, usually the front end of the scope down. They come in adjustable formats and fixed formats.
I’m sure 80 has read a thread or two about adjustable mounts but forgot it, if I had four kids running around 24/7 there would be many things that I wouldn’t remember too!
Does the Tri-rail a riser mount?..i thought it is a scope extension mount to add some height on it ….sorry if my bad English do not help me to realize this term.
At least 80 GRIT seems to like the idea of an adjustable mount…if i wasn’t mistaken maybe he will never finding infos about it… 😀
Yes Syn, your correct. That’s what happens when you thread jack. It becomes all about me, me, me…and I admit I am guilty! Sorry. Hey at least I didn’t call you “Synthetic” like KQ did! 😆
Thank you………
So you have the weaver rings and the dovetail to weaver rail? Surely this make up is too low and makes it awkward for eye placement at the rear of the scope, or am I missing something here?
Matt.
I’m aware of what you guys are discussing. I was simply answering the OP’s question… 😉
What is unclear is if he was looking to put the rail on an AF product or another rifle.
Adding drop to the rail can be good and bad. It depends on the existing scope centerline height to bore centerline, caliber/power and overall shooting distances.
Too much drop and too low of mounts can easily run a scope out of down adjustment, too much rise and no drop can run a scope out of up adjustment. Too much drop for small calibers and short distances can run out scope adjustment limits, no drop and long large calibers can run a scope out of adjustment limits.
There is simply not enough information in the OP’s posts to know if he needs drop or simply wants to get a better eye to cheek relationship for shooting.
Y’all look to be answering questions that were never asked and not asking the right questions to answer the original question.
Thats right…They are made to fix this problem, and in our case take advantage of that feature to adjust the elevation on Long range shooting.
A long time ago Pyramidair have one 11mm to 11mm dovetail but it is not available any more. http://www.pyramydair.com/images/acc/B-Square_177011_299.jpg .I m talking about B-Square 17011.
Ohh…i forgot to mentioned…usually use that device and zero my scope 4-5 mildot/hash over the crosshair..so normally if i zero like this at 100m my crosshair automatically zeroed at about 240m.This help a lot.. 😉
There is this, it’s a foot long…

There is also the one on this website that is longer I think.
Synopsys,
We’re discussing this for having “built in moa” in lieu of internal moa in scope.
I am going to try this rail out so I can keep a shorter range zero and not use up moa.
Synthetic,
This mount we are talking about doesn’t change mounts height.
It can be adjustable only from the rear edge of the mount. The front edge remain steady on a hinge. That way changed the incline of the scope in order not being parallel to the rifle rail.
Dovetail to dovetail? Dovetail to weaver/picatinny?

Thanks KQ. I am going to order it either this pay period or hopefully by the next one. I look forward to utilizing this when I stretch the wings on my .257 😀
if you did read this stupid comment on Amazon, obviously you dont read this to the end of the review.
***ADDITIONAL NOTES/UPDATE***
I have since heard from other people who have used this adapter who have explained that it should have the hinge facing forward, whereas I had mine facing rearward.
That would still not have worked on my specific air rifle because of the receiver dimensions, but others can probably use this to good effect, especially those with barrel droop, which this was designed to obviate.
Having that hinge forward will also make the recoil movement a non-issue.
So i was right to my previous post …..This 15 years old Guy just failed on his First Airgun which it isn’t a PCP…. 😉
Lol…this mount works fantastic.I suggest it to those who have the .257/.308 long range syndrome…Also i suggest a Third Eye Spartan for accuracy…Make a world of difference to me at .308 cal….Once the bullet leaves the barrel ,vacuums the air behind the bullet before being let free to the atmosphere.
Joe,The killerqueen Nickname was given to me because i used to kill snipers (Killers)..8-)..so ..Thank you too for your kind words.. 😀
LoL….This guy must overtight the lock screw and damaged the adjustment screw threads.I put Blue locktite on mine and leave lock screw a little bit tight.
Although i am almost sure that the Guy fit his mount on a 350Magnum Diana or something,to cure the barrel drop…Have you ever shoot one of these???…impossible avoid mount damage..recoil as hell.
Have you ever REALLY OVERTIGHT a mount on a springer and after 2-3 shots the scope hit in your eye?
Mine(Diana) pulled the threads out of the hole on the screws which keep the front of its stocK in place due recoil.I seriously thought to weld the mount on the gun…Finally i just add this to my collection and never use it again.
Those mounts designed for Droopers (not PCP’s)because usually some springers Kick like mules.Thats the reason they put a railstop on them(B-square) ,in order to avoid mount sliding and damaging Rifles rail.
If that guy made this Kind of damage on his Rifle and don’t realize the problem,so get one of this to fix the issue,it sound normal to me if he had a bad situation to make his mount “bite” firmly a damaged rifle dovetail.I suspect the piece in the middle slide and put all the weight on the vertical adjustment screw of B-square mount…Thats why he can’t keep it in place and damaging this trying to overtight the lock screw .
Scope mount manufacturers made this to help some people about Barrel droop issues on Springers and not for some looney guys who trying to shoot cast boolits at 500yards with a Big bore PCP so need elevation…I mean noone could ever imagine this a long time ago.
So in our case(PCP) we haven’t got Recoil issues and risers work even awesome .
Anyway..Mine is OK..and i heard good words on the Yellow too.
I found one for sale for 50.00 or so. It had one review and it was bad. The guy said the set screw for the moa elevation kept always crept and kept lowering is poi. He said it eventually stripped out from having to over tighten it. Obviously you have not experienced this in yours….
Thanks Killer… 😎
Another one great product here …Matlip, this is for you my friend…I think 7.4″ may not being 200+ but it is long enought 😉
This is a B-square mount like mine in to editions…short and long.I prefer short for more pivot ability.
