Q:

Sending up a smoke signal for help

OK, just tore my SS down to ground zero, spring – hammer – power dial and all that came out, now how do you get the hammer slide to come out ? Looks like there is a pin or something keeping it from sliding on out through the frame ?

Nope, when its going back in, sure of it 😀

Or is that when I’m taking it out….. 😕 😕

Enough brandy for tonight me thinks…… 😆

For me, I have to hold the safety and trigger down together, then use a long rod to poke the breech back over the sear. then load the rest in as normal.

Thanks pabluck, just about the time you posted that, I figured it out. I guess when I get the inside cleaned out, it goes back in the same way (by pulling the trigger and pushing it into place ?

The sear??
Pull trigger and push the gubbins down the frame.

Yes, and gently I might add. Will put it back even gentler’er as I hear they strip really easily

Did you remove the plastic Set screw on the power adjustment wheel? 😕
