Shoebox price increase?
I thought it used to be $1099. Now it’s being listed at $1199.

So go buy that raptor chinese compressor. Then at 32 days it shits out on yah Let us all know how it goes for U. I to want something better than the shoebox. but I’m not willing to give up Great customer service and a rock solid machine. For a machine with a one month warranty. LOL that says it all they don’t even trust it enough to warrant for more than a month LOL
so Go spend the extra 600 bucks and let us know. Im not willing to take that gamble
Also you don’t need to buy another compressor, saving another $150 or so. So for just $450 more you get a vastly superior compressor. What idiot would buy the shoebox now?
The timing of his price increase couldn’t be any worse (for him). A new and vastly superior compressor that just came out that cost $700 more, now only cost $600 more…Any reasonable person would by the new compressor! I hope this was a glitch or something. He best lower his price back to $1099.
Although i would like to see a lower price… i feel tom has priced them appropriately. Not sure what they cost or what the profit margin is but what other options do we have in the 1k$ price range?

He just needs to add a High pressure side moisture filter with auto drain. Something that would be optional at a 200$ price range that way those that want it can do the upgrade and those that don’t care can get it with out.
forget keeping up with the Chinese (it can never be done). What he should do is lower his price!
Somebody has to pay for the R+D so Tom can keep up with the new water cooled compressor being imported from China.

I just might, and it’s only extra $450 bucks if you cared to read my post. As for warranty, shoebox has a 90 days warranty. Whoopy do! That’s such a better warranty. Warranties are a joke anyway. If your product doesn’t break down within 30 days then it’s all good. I laugh at people who buy extended warranties.
Buying a Shoebox MAX 4500 on the other hand, makes a lot of sense. It filled half the speed of the F8, but so what? What’s the hurry? Get a 88cf carbon fiber tank and let it run in the garage while you eat or sleep. If you have a shoebox and don’t have a tank you’re really, really stupid. If you have a scuba tank as oppose to carbon fiber tank, you’re also very dumb.
