Q:

shot string 4 the shorty…..

well i’ve been very happy with this litte gem, i have not adjusted any thing at all.
out of the box my gun was shooting jsb’s 18 around 860 or so.
my thinking was to break my gun in i would use some crosman pellets i had on hand.
and save the better jsb’s for my other gun, which is more pellet picky.
but to my surprize this shorty loves them. so here is a shot string using the crosman 14.3 hp.

1# 957.2=29 fpe
2# 956.7=29 fpe
3# 971.3=29 fpe
4# 963.0=29 fpe
5# 969.9=29 fpe
6# 965.3=29 fpe
7# 955.4=29 fpe
8# mis-reading
9# 971.6=29 fpe
10# 969.6=29 fpe
11# 968.6=29 fpe
12# 963.0=29 fpe
13# 965.8=29 fpe
14# 967.2=29 fpe
15# 969.1=29 fpe
16# 967.7=29 fpe
17# 970.2=29 fpe
18# 962.7=29 fpe
19# 968.3=29 fpe
20# 968.3=29 fpe
21# 964.9=29 fpe
22# 968.8=29 fpe
23#mis-reading
24# 960.8=29 fpe
25# 956.1=29 fpe
26# 964.3=29 fpe
27# 979.3=29 fpe
28# 970.5=29 fpe
29# 966.2=29 fpe
30# 965.7=29 fpe
31# 970.4=29 fpe
32# 956.6=29 fpe
33# 961.7=29 fpe
34# 955.8=29 fpe
35# 967.3 =29 fpe
36# 963.7=29 fpe
37# 958.8=29 fpe
38# 956.0=29 fpe
39# 964.3=29 fpe
40# 943.2= off the reg.

thats a bit over three mags for 40 shots, 39 shots @ 29 fpe from a little air tube that’s 150 or so cc.
i don’t even have over 200 pellets thought her yet.
any one thinking of getting one act fast, before every one & their brother wants one.

Yea man,
kool show, I seen them all.

How about both the chic divers.
They both ran off the road, women drivers, lol.

Stay home and bake a cake!

Oh yah I watched, “Big Chief” got smoked again, he keeps giving Kyle more money to put into his motor, car and house.

Just got on.
Had too watch the season finale of street outlaws.
You guys watch it?

Man SPROCKET, your killing me!

They are both great gun, but in different ways.
Both have great triggers, best of any bullpups out there.

The vulcan, I have set to a hair trigger, its down to just grams.
The Taipan, trigger you can adjust very light its a work of art, most will love it.
But they have lock-tight on most of the adjustments.

The Vulcan can do adjusted more. I hope I never have too live with just one of them.
Having shot both, I have had a Cricket compact before also.
Taipan, grip on the stock is not as fat, has on the Vulcan. Which I like better.

But I would say the Vulcan too, if I had to have just one.
But man I’m so glad I have them both!

Both are great bullpups, and we are lucky that they are being imported here to the U.S.

I love both guns to death and as of now can own both! And I agree with everything fox said but the little grip part God Blessed me with BIG HANDS so I could wrap them around my BIG GRIP :fishinghole:

Ok seems you like both, and the Vulcan more. If you need to move those loctited screws all you need to do is heat them with a soldiering iron tip or use the allen wrench and heat it with the iron close to the screw to transfer the heat in to it.

I own both also and I would keep the…………………………………….? The Vulcan

No not really, I ask because myself and others had to choose one between the two. Fox has both so he can give an honest opinion which one he likes better ? After reading his new post over in the Vulcan section I think I may already know the answer ?

quote REARSPROCKET:

So Fox I have a question for you, If you had to sell either the Vulcan or the Shorty which one would be gone ?

You are a mean SOB

Ok foxback…..
What u do to your shorty???
i couldn’t help myself.
I had mine apart anyhow to take some measurement to make regulator sleeves for testers. anyhow i decided to check my pressure. it was around 138 bar. I bumped it up to the 145 bar that these are designed at.. (maybe the regulator settled in ???)
and ran some shots over the crony….. 14.3 chp. 900 fps. 15.9 jsb 860 fps. and jsb 18.1’s at 820’s
so why is yours shooting 920s with the 16’s? what am i missing here.

I’m wondering where is the regulator set to get JSB 16g to go 920 fps ?

the guys at the factory usually do a pretty good job setting them up…. Maybe they got a little carried away… I know mine was set at 138 Ish …. I bumped it to 145 bar….

You’ll have to check yours Greg when you get that fancy sleeve i sent yah.

Ive been busy around the house lately getting ready to close on a sale. so got a lot going on and haven’t had time to do much….

That Shorty is a great choice for barnyard hunting. Plenty accurate & will hit hard. We use Cricket Compacts right now for rats at night and these short guns are da bomb.. We’re looking into these….

What are you using for glass? NV?
