shot string 4 the shorty…..
well i’ve been very happy with this litte gem, i have not adjusted any thing at all.
out of the box my gun was shooting jsb’s 18 around 860 or so.
my thinking was to break my gun in i would use some crosman pellets i had on hand.
and save the better jsb’s for my other gun, which is more pellet picky.
but to my surprize this shorty loves them. so here is a shot string using the crosman 14.3 hp.

thats a bit over three mags for 40 shots, 39 shots @ 29 fpe from a little air tube that’s 150 or so cc.
i don’t even have over 200 pellets thought her yet.

I haven’t quite found the magic pellet for mine. Im wondering what your reg is set at. The 18’s in mine are maxed out around 820 ish….
i wouldn’t mess with it if i was you LOL…
Maybe i need to bump my pressure up a touch and try it at 880-890 with the 18.1’s ……

Ok I tryed a few predator 16 gr pellets, too see what the fpe would be & speed.
My gun is shooting the 14.3 so close to 30 fpe. And yep the 16 gr pellets puts the fpe right 30 fpe.
At 920 fps for the 16 gr.
So I think that the 16 gr jsb pellets or the aa 16gr is the balance of power and shots for the shorty. That is it’s at the peek fpe range with out the loss of the 40 shots.
So really the gun could be 30 fpe gun with 40 shots.
But need to order some 16gr jsbs & aa pellets & do full string tests.
But thats what I’m thinking.

here is some groups shot @ 30 yards in my basement.
three shot groups, using crapy crosman pellets lol.
gun is not locked down in a vise.
on a shaky rest, i had too hold under, because i have her sighted in shooting out of my van,
50 yards lol :rofl:
That’s probably why I get 3 sometimes 4 pellets in the same hole then a flyer. At 40 yards…
I need to try and sort some by head size to try and prove that…
I haven’t wrote down any shot strings but fro. Shooting and watching the chrony I’ve noticed that the numbers do fluctuate a lot more with the cr hp vs the 15.9s.
I’ll try and run a string of each soon….
Those CR HP aren’t very consistently sized so that’s probably part of the spread, going with some quality 15.9s alone will tighten the spread and you shouldn’t loose any fpe. You have to test.

Looks good, that 24 fps ES might tighten up with 15.9s and a HS adjustment.
They have a really efficient Valving setup the regs are all set at 145 bar and it floats it quite well down to 100 bar. The gun can actually be filled to 250 for what its worth…..
Ive got 2 little kids that takes up a lot of my time. so until the wifey gets home i get no trigger time. then she needs time. yeh it never ends…

not even broke in yet.
i filled too 240 bar, shot down too 100 bar, i think pretty close to that.
Man i never really checked mine but i new it was a good amount of shots….. DAM :whistle: :whistle:

i couldn’t help myself.
I had mine apart anyhow to take some measurement to make regulator sleeves for testers. anyhow i decided to check my pressure. it was around 138 bar. I bumped it up to the 145 bar that these are designed at.. (maybe the regulator settled in ???)
and ran some shots over the crony….. 14.3 chp. 900 fps. 15.9 jsb 860 fps. and jsb 18.1’s at 820’s
so why is yours shooting 920s with the 16’s? what am i missing here.
