Side lever .25 cal build
I have noticed how much you guys are into the DIY builds so thought I would show you my current project. Its a probe less design with the barrel and the bolt beign off center to allow the O-ring to be at 5 degree’s angle. This one is made of 7075 alum and 304 stainless but I have a piece of 6AL4V Titanium from the last project of the Ti Rapids.
This one feels really good to cock. Side levers are so smooth, I just love them. It is being built up for Benchrest shooting and have no plans of making it multishot. I think with the airpassage going through the bolt I can eliminate the probe and any flow problems or pellet damage. I will put a Picitinny rail on it and use a big Nikko Diamond 10-50 power scope.

Its an over center design that snaps closed so there is only the one thing to do. I just got the trigger in and ran it though a few cycles. If I have time I will put in the valve and try it under pressure soon.
I’m truly impressed by your builds! Are you using some sort of locking mechanism on your sidlever in order to make it stay closed during fireing, or is the geometry of the link pivot points arranged to take care of that?

You are right, this is not my first build. I have done some extended tall Daystate breeches for large diameter shrouds and I did 8 Titanium Rapids for people who wanted something special. They are longer for more prechamber and barrel clamping and a 20 MOA pictinny rail. I own my own shop and do prototype work for military and medical. I want to see what I can get out of this type setup. I have always admired the Anschutz platform and want something like that with .25 cal punch. I have an Anschutz 5018 trigger but it will have to go on Rev B as this one is set up for a theoben trigger. But I will have to make that one as well and I have micro needle bearings for all moving parts.
