Q:

Sling and Attachment

Hey Guys,
I just wanted to ask how many of you use a sling with your Cricket .2? I am in the market for one but haven’t seen many pictures of how you attach them.
So, my main question would be and this goes for Ernest too. What sling do you use and how is it attached?
Pictures are welcome. I used to have a sling on my ar-15 that was like a regular sling and you could pull on one of the straps and it tightened against your body and dropped the barrel down so you could shoulder the rifle. That is the type sling I like.
Thanks

Kalibrgun

I am headed to the deer cabin. Thursday, I should have some good pictures, Just pest bird and some ground squirrel, and a rabbit or two,,,
Lots of pigs Axel deer , But its not going to be a real hunt I have the wife with me and might just be paper killing.
Headed to a wedding in San Marcus,
Mike

You have any pictures of it attached?

Your right Zonk, Its a dust collector for now,
Mike

I bet that M-rod must be back in a closet some where collecting dust.

Earnest did his magic on the gun I am very happy with it so far, As soon as I get my Hawke 6×24-56 scope on it I will get able to test it out with the 22 Cricket, Its just not fair to shoot the 25 along side the 22 with a cheaper scope. Now at 30 to 40 yards the UTG 3×9 32 bug buster and the light weight is nice, But when your trying to shoot one hole groups its just not a fair game…For me it really sucks having to spend the money on the higher end scope to bring it up to the 22 cricket.. But to compare the guns its just a must do thing for me…
I can honestly say the best gun I own is the 22 and 25 cricket, The 25 Marauder is very close at 48 yards, Maybe even a tie, But every time I pick it up the poi is off, I got plans for it shoots to dam good to give it away,,,
I will have my sling in a few days I will take pictures…

That’s one fine looking gun,
I checked on the little sling mount, 41.95 bucks to my door, It must work real good.

I figured you wouldn’t mind a little gun pron Mike. 🙂
Shop it. I found it for under $20 a while ago for the Rainstorm 3D, just don’t remember where. Magpul designs their shit for use, not to look pretty.

Does your scope mount over the top of it? Is there enough clearance? Do you have a pic?

With high rings, there is plenty of clearance since it is such a low mount. The loop sticks out the side far enough that he sling will not contact the scope.

Here’s a pic of it mounted on my old .25

Thank you for the pic, that looks like a good option as well

I use a Magpul RSA mounted at the very back of the scope rail.

John (Aerotulz55 ) sells one that looks pretty good to me. His sling looks like a loop, the FN SCAR sling has a loop attachment.

Here’s John’s sling. I’m ordering one

Thanks for all the replies,

Keyser I was looking at that exact sling, just not sure how to attach it with the quick disconnect. I will be looking into some quick disconnect rail mounts. If you know of any please feel free to recommend.
Thanks
