Q:

Sling and Attachment

Hey Guys,
I just wanted to ask how many of you use a sling with your Cricket .2? I am in the market for one but haven’t seen many pictures of how you attach them.
So, my main question would be and this goes for Ernest too. What sling do you use and how is it attached?
Pictures are welcome. I used to have a sling on my ar-15 that was like a regular sling and you could pull on one of the straps and it tightened against your body and dropped the barrel down so you could shoulder the rifle. That is the type sling I like.
Thanks

Kalibrgun

Single point sling mount. KGB, if you go back in post to moday, jun23,1:23pm. Snyperlabyo posted pictures of my mount for cricket. I got no hits on it so let it lay. Check it out and see if this is what you are after.

A 3 point sling is a sling that attaches at 3 points hence the name. For the size of the Cricket and its lack of quad rail I think the single point is the only real viable option.

1pt, quick transitions but hits you in the nuts if you run with it and don’t hold onto the weapon

2pt, simple and works, not as great for transitions

3pt, great for weapon retention, but I hate of all the extra webbing

How you would do it in my opinion:

First buy this, attach it to the rear of the top of the picatinny rail.

then buy a good single point sling like this

Here’s the one problem with slinging a Cricket. There is no safety on the gun. You are going to have to be very disciplined at de-cocking the gun when you sling it. The chance of an AD with the light Cricket trigger is very high, I would hate to shoot myself where the gun hangs while using a single point attachment.

The sling I am talking about is more of a tactical sling but I will be using it for the woods or hiking just a fast access type sling. I think it’s referred to as a three point sling

I am all ears on this post, I know exactly the sling you are talking about, I ordered a few on Ebay that look right , just got to see how they attach to the rifle…
If I get a good hit I will post, I am sure there are some hunters on here that use this type sling,
Mike
