Smoothing out the action?
Hey Guys,
Anyone have any recommendations for smoothing out the action? At times that last centimeter or so that you push the bolt forward to load the pellet and lock the bolt down seems to require an inordinate amount of force.
Usually when Im just fucking around or shooting paper I don’t really care, but yesterday I was shooting birds and it was kind of annoying to have to take my eye off the scope and rack the shit out of the cocking handle to get the thing to load.
Any suggestions?

1. Pull the breech o-ring and check it for shaved outer edges and radial cuts. You may feel a cut while silicone lubing it between your fingers.
2. Remove the top rear cover and check the 2 breech probe screws for tightness.
3. While checking those screws see if they may be a little shorter than the manual specifies. If wear of the breech block is apparent remove the breech block out the rear, clean it and area and lubricate it with a slight smear of moly grease.
Have you taken your bolt out and polished it? Most have and it sure is smoother.
All this small detail stuff goes away with time. Gun gets smoother the more you shoot it and you also build some muscle memory at the same time. If you are used to a cricket or any lever style cocking system it will be harder to get used to. I latch one of my fingers on scope ring knob to assist me closing mine.

maybe replacing the spring around the barrel for a lighter one may help a bit.
