Spool Valve?
Has anyone tried or created a successful balanced spool air valve at normal PCP air rifle pressures? If its possible wouldnt it allow much lighter springs and hammers to operate?

Be careful gearhead apparently just asking to see a drawing means your conspiring to steal something. I guess I am a little mean but I dont put up with bullshit from cowards like Blue Gay. I am not sure of all the differences between a Spoolie and a Poppet, but my kid owns 2 paintball guns and one has a spool valve and the other has a Poppet, The one with a Poppet, has an exposed bolt, as do most of the Poppet valve Markers I have seen. It is easy to clean and has very few moving parts. The Spoolie requires very little maintenance, but when it does, it is more labor intensive and has more O-rings then the Poppet, the bolt is fully enclosed… The trend in Paintball seems to be Poppet valves. Both work at extremely Low Pressures 200-300 PSI and are capable of cycling 20+ times a second shooting balls at 300 FPS with a spread of +/- 5-6 fps and that’s all I know about that… I just buy em and my kid plays with them. I could have a Edgun or 2 for what I have into them though 😯
