Q:

Standard Cricket .22 Basic Questions

Some real basic questions about a US purchase of a std .22 Cricket.

1. Who are the dealers in the US? Which is prefered? (packing, cust serv, etc)

2. Anyone have a shot string for a CZ manuf. std Cricket that has been “broken in”? And an accuracy check at 50 yards? Shot count?

3. Any issues with the CZ manuf. Crickets? (some part variations mentioned on various forums)

4. What pellet is working best at this point? JSB 18.13 or 15.9? Anyone tried Predators?

5. Does the Standard Cricket in .22 use a CZ hammer forged barrel rather than a LW barrel?

6. What stock configuration is present with the CZ manuf. walnut version? (there seems to be variants out there)

7. It seems like the price has settled to $1750 for the walnut verion? Is that right?

They are cool 😎

Thanks in Advance…..

I am a bit confused on TopGuns stock descriptions.

They seem pretty straight forward to me. 😯

Yes that is the stock I have. The bulldog stock is the one that holds the 4 extra mags.

I am a bit confused on TopGuns stock descriptions.

So if the bulldog stocks are the ones with the mag holder what are the plain ones called?

What is the difference between the composite stocks and the synthetic ones in TopGuns descriptions or are they the same?

Thanks

Good groups for upwards of 26 mph gusts. I live in a narrow valley and winds above 5 mph only occur if it is coming right down the valley.

This the second attempt at accuracy test I have so far, 55 yards pellets out of the tin without lubing or sorting, too bad for the wind.

Yes, I am very happy with the shot count and consistence between the shoots. This is from pellets straight out of the tin, not weighed or sorted.
Also you asked above, about walnut stock, yes mine is bulldog stock in walnut.

Well the pictures on TopGun show some guns with special areas for holding four additional magazines in the walnut stock. What are those stocks on? Are they not available yet?

After the furlough I believe I need to get one of these…

That mad stack of pellets at 30 meters (if I read the writing right) has just about sold it for me.

ljs0521 – thats impressive and part of the reason I want the .22.

I just received my .22 cal standard bulldog stock Friday, only shot about 300 rounds thru it indoors so far. So i really can’t speak for accuracy yet. Mine also is shooting jsb 18.1 at 880, I am getting app. 55 shots from 3200 psi fill shooting down to app. 1800 psi with sd under 2.0.

got my compact version from Steve at TGAG. Great customer service and double boxed. Ordered Monday and received on Wednesday.

Mini shot string

I can answer one of your questions, and you had it right, and that is the barrel CZ hammer forged barrel .

TopGun and/or Dima can answer all of these generic questions in one phone call. May I ask what the difference may be if UPS delivers it or if FedEx delivers it?

Well you can ask but…. Just kidding. Fed Ex sux in my area. Lost deliveries, late deliveries, deliveries to the wrong address but nothing damaged. They used to be the best ten years ago but it has become a real issue in the last year with all of the shipments I receive. I think the problem is the owner of my route from what I am told. Things seem to make it to the sorting facility just fine. Its the final stint when bad things happen. I had a $400 scope missing for about a week and it turned out my local driver had tried to deliver it to the wrong address and it was left at the sorting facility. It finally showed up after the Shipper put pressure on them. USPS or UPS operates like clock work. Fed Ex Smart Post is very slow but it usually arrives on schedule since USPS does the final delivery and the local route owner never touches it.

I am sure TopGun is good but I like to hear it from a customer too.

My cricket was shipped USPS double boxed, it arrived last Saturday so I picked it up from post office myself.
