Standard Cricket .22 Basic Questions
Some real basic questions about a US purchase of a std .22 Cricket.
1. Who are the dealers in the US? Which is prefered? (packing, cust serv, etc)
2. Anyone have a shot string for a CZ manuf. std Cricket that has been “broken in”? And an accuracy check at 50 yards? Shot count?
3. Any issues with the CZ manuf. Crickets? (some part variations mentioned on various forums)
4. What pellet is working best at this point? JSB 18.13 or 15.9? Anyone tried Predators?
5. Does the Standard Cricket in .22 use a CZ hammer forged barrel rather than a LW barrel?
6. What stock configuration is present with the CZ manuf. walnut version? (there seems to be variants out there)
7. It seems like the price has settled to $1750 for the walnut verion? Is that right?

Got my CZ made standard cricket from top gun airguns one week ago, 1750.00 plus S&H, it took 3 days to ship to me, had to wait for the fill probe adaptor and scope mount, my cricket is shooting 18.1 gr jsb at 880 fps 15.9 gr jsb at 930 fps. “not broken in yet”, no idea about the manufacturer of the barrel, today is way too windy for accuracy test, here is a link to the shot string and a quick target shoot after work in the dark

Very nice flat strings. The 18.1s may be optimal stock at 31 FPE and 880 fps. I’ll sure be interested in an accuracy comparison of the two in bench rest conditions but your targets look pretty good. A little more power than I expected. More so than my AA S510C at full power at 900 fps with 15.9.
Was the Cricket shipped well (double boxed)? Topgun is in Scottsdale and I am near St. Louis. Can I ask how it was shipped? (UPS?)
How was the fit and finish from the new CZ plant? (and yes TopGun is showing that the barrel is made by CZ and hammer forged on the .177 and .22. I consider that a big plus from owning several CZ firearms.
So is the magazine holder in the stock an option or just on the .25 model?
Great scope choice (I have 4 of them and also 1 Panorama as well with the etched glass reticle). Perfect combination.
