Steve at SSairguns will not return calls
I will probably be banned for this, but my patience has run out. Over a month and a half ago I placed an order and payed for this order with paypal.
Steve has not delivered the items that I paid for and now he will not answer his phone or emails. He will NOT return the messages that I have left him on numerous occasions.
I can understand if there is a problem with the suppliers, but to make no effort to let a customer know what is going on with their order is unacceptable.
I have ordered rifles from him before and lots of other stuff and I have defended him to other posters.

I’d think if I were Steve, I would have to step up here and atleast post a response or rebuttal to all these accusations ……. Might make me feel better about doing any future business with the guy.

Yes I am a student of human nature, and I find that most people who are TRYING to grow a business will COMMUNICATE with their customers that have paid them money. Steve is doing a poor job. As a student of human nature, I find that people who do not communicate while trying to grow a business do not get much growth and failure is not far into the future.
Satisfaction in the end is NOT the proper method of providing a service or product to a customer base. If a person is in a niche market, then communication and service are to be highly prized and sought after. A niche market by definition is a small, highly specialized market that is made up of similar sellers/providers. Therefore in order to be a success in a niche market the seller/provide MUST offer something more than his competitors. Often this something more is actually nothing more than communications and updates. But without these “something mores” there is nothing to distinguish or set apart and above the competition.
Satisfaction in the end, should not be the goal. Satisfaction in the beginning, middle and finally the end should be the goal.
If you chose to be in business and provide goods and/or services then it is your responsibility to provide those goods/services to the people who have trusted you with their money. If you can not, whether in a niche market or not, people will tell their friends and find alternatives to your “Satisfaction in the END” method of doing business.
When you take a persons money and then fail to provide the goods/services in a timely fashion and further refuse or fail to communicate with the customer, you have done nothing to put your self above the limited competition. You have in fact distinguished yourself from the competition in a negative manner. This is not the distinguishing factor that most businesses strive for in their markets.
But of course, like always, I could be wrong……….. NOT!!!

P.S. I by lots of airgun stuff, like most people in this niche market it is a hobby, as a hobby it is not required or a necessity. Therefore, service is highly prized. There are too many providers to have to wait for “satisfaction in the end”. Just to let you know, I ordered the same thing from England after Steve would not answer my calls. Within a week, I had the stuff in my hand. All the way from Jolly Old England. Amazing!!!
Paul; As a lawyer, you are a student of human nature. Tony is doing his best under his current situation. You’re dealing with a fella that is trying to grow his business in a niche maket. While you’ve suffered from the lack of communication from this machinist/artistt, you’ll get satisfaction in the end.
In the interim, I suggest you pull out a powder burner and throw some lead down range. This action, while violent, calms the soul for some of us.
Have you considered a career in the Special Forces of our military? It’s a hoot. What a great reliever of stress. By the way JAG, the TV show, should be viewed as a comedy. AKULA
Steve said he put two BSA S-10 Bottles and a BSA Magazine in the mail to me today.

He thanked me for my patience.
I will thank him that he sent me an email to let me know he shipped the stuff out.
I will say that my patience was stretched thin on this, and a simple phone call or email with some type of communication would have avoided a lot of this mess.
So now I begin the waiting game again and see what is what when the package arrives.

Well my paypal account has NOT gotten any 240 dollar takers. But my cell phone and my emails have gone completely quiet.
I guess all the blow hards coming to Steve and SSairguns defense don’t have enough faith in Steve’s greatness and ability to back up their phone calls and emails with their money.
Goes to show you, people are quick to open their mouth and tell you how you should feel and what you should do, but are slow to back up their big talk.
Steve has told me that my stuff should ship out today or tomorrow. This was last week. As I have said before, time will tell the tale.

TT wins the concise award. That just about says it all.
Personally (and I think this goes for most folk), lack of goods is nowhere near as infuriating as lack of communication.
I’m with Paul and Harry on this: once you take someone’s money you have an obligation to complete your end of the bargain. If you can’t then that is one thing, but to not make a call to update them is not acceptable.
Kujitsu I have no qualm with you or Steve. I am merely stating the FACTS of how it is when someone is purported to be in business. I know just a little bit about it because my company is doing $750,000.00 a year plus after six and a half years of back fucking breaking work.
Man…… I can’t make it any clearer than this. Once you take somebodies money for a service you claim to provide you are morally and ethically responsible to provide that customer your service and be available via email & phone contact.
Two years ago Browne-Minneapolis “forgot” to supply me with $25,000.00 worth of steel plate (16 & 1/2 tons worth) for a job at Pearl Harbor after I paid them in full. I got nothing but excuses from them and my customer was threatening me with liens, and the possibility of NO future work. I finally got my plate from those assholes but I no longer do business with them. You should have heard the phone conversation when the President of BM called to apologize. I listened for about 30 seconds and told him fuck you and your excuses. Your ineptness has delayed my job by four months and I got the whole US Navy screaming at me and I gotta find a way to make them happy.
I’m with Paul all the way on this.
