Tactical Bullpup stock – DIY Project

I have started working on the new Bullpup stocks for most reservoir type PCPs. The below sketches are concept design, I will start building after finished my AUG bullpup backlogs.
The initial target is America’s most popular PCP model, Marauder, because it comes with big fat heavy and ugly shape stock. I cannot believe so many people are using the original wood stock.
The concept is very similar to the very successful small company, named Center Balanced Systems and always having full of backorders.

Marauder (with Gauge type)

Hatsan AT44 (without Gauge type)

BSA Scorpion

The drop-in installation is more easy: first, install the Quad rail; then, drop-in and tight up the installation-screw. Second, hook up trigger-link and close butt- cover; then, tight up by end-cap screw.
All material is Aluminum and hard plastic (partially rubber), the cost is planned about $100, quad-rail (RIS) remains same as per request of my hunting group guys.

– Reference –
Clip-on Cheek-rest

I always used aftermarket RIS (Rail Interface System) with minor modification. Because Ruger 10/22 is the most popular Rimfire and many aftermarket parts and accessories are available at lower price
Walmart is selling at $25.01:

Note: This DIY stock can be applied for most reservoir type PCP models.
I have a great respect to airgun bullpup stock sellers (builders), because PCP airgun is very tiny market,; therefore, any known stock makers have never been entered in PCP airgun market, such as ATI, Hogue, Tapco, Troy, ProMag, Butler Creek…. In addition, PCP bullpup stocks are much more tiny, niche market. It is very very very (3-verys) risky venture in current poor economy. They do not have Communication Dept. Sales and Marketing Dept. Customer Service Dept. QA Dept. Accounting Dept…. because of one or few men operation. Their efforts are priceless, if you do not respect, your alternatives will be DIY, or buy Russian bullpup airguns, Evanix Max, or make your fist and punch yourself. I am pretty tied up. I thought “DIY” meant “Dumb Ignorant Yankees!”

So, you actually meant follow your plans? Pretty clever idea!

The material cost is below:
I used the junk of airsoft for AR15 grips and Stock Butt pads when I started AUG bullpup mod, my hunting group leader purchased large box of airsoft junk from dealer.
I picked from the junk box, he charged $10 for grip and butt pad.
Rails were purchased at Walmart (see below) RIS is $24.18, single rail is $5 – $9 each.
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Aim-Sports…-Rail/21066500

But, Lite version is used single rails like below:
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Aim-Sports-In … t/21066541

I used Junk yard where lots of junks from Malls and department stores, especially POP decoration, shelves, and so on as aluminum and plastics material. The receiver chassis was the pillar of sunglasses dolly shelves, and plastic sheets are from Revlon and Max factor lipstick shelves, paid $90. (It is required to wash, and cut off smashed area.) These junk cover 8 units, one unit will be $11.25 plus gas fee.
Also, I purchased small parts from the local hardware, paid $28 ($3.50 per unit).
So the total raw material cost will be approx. $55. (maybe $60.)
But, I used 2pcs of 3mm dia. liner bearing bush ($2 each plus $6 s/h) for my own unit as extra.

I do not have machine shop, CNC metal lathe/mill/drill machines, CNC metal machines are at least $7,000. My power tools are disk sander, table-drill (see below), jigsaw and Dremel only, large hand tool is newly purchased tabletop English wheel at $98.
I am not pro just like most members, I only make bullpup stocks for shooting more fun and exchanging service among my hunting guys.

Do you sell these via order, or are they for your hunting group?

Cost?

I also added the following non-rotating butt version to reduce my work time as per suggestion of my hunting group. I will start making after finished Lite version.

Added the following single-rail (Lite) version as per request of my hunting group guys. Quad-rail version is about 3.5lbs (includes RIS and everything), single-rail version is about 2.9 to 3.0lbs. Hope I can finish the first backlog before Xmas.

take my money

Safety
This safety is AR15/M16 modified thumb down type.
Safety is the most mechanically stressed part due to frequent usages on bullpup mod, construction was done by brass and steel (includes a tiny bearing ball for latching, attached mount, and round plate has small dents for catching a tiny bearing ball.)

no lefty still a lurner iv followed him for a bit,no offence and all

As Indicated above, the photos are before finishing surface.
It has been hard to get used Steyr AUG stocks per my hunting group guys.

Then, I started working on this type Bullpup stocks for most reservoir type PCPs, the design concept is similar to below companys’ bullpups and the taste of my hunting group.

LeftyMadrid of Southern California started making bullpup kits with very reasonable price, you may prefer their bullpups.
