Talk to me fellas .22 or .25?!?!
I have a Tony Tuned SS(.22), had a SS(.17) that I sold and gave my niece my Tony Tuned Talon(.20) with 24″ HW Barrel(by do I miss that gun but its being used on the farm…)
Thinking Condor now, its gotta be accurate and consistent, and would like more than 35fpe as I have lots of pcps that are 30fpe and under but only have 3 with 50fpe or more:
Sumatra Rifle(.20), custom BSA Hornet(.25) and Dragon Slayer(.50)
Looking for a 50 – 100 yard rig for target, hunting and pest control…
Would like 20 consistent shots that are tight and accurate…what caliber do you recommend? I’m leaning towards .25 and know that Airhog can build Condor(.25)s with Lilja Barrels and push 100+ fpe…
Also, how fast can your guns move a given .22 or .25 pellet and still be accurate, i.e. JSBs, Kodiaks and Eun Jins?

Have to de- tank for transport in the hard case, just like a broom stick !!!!!!
The thing is if your gonna get the crack and don’t mind the noise I’ll loose the shroud
Man SAW you don’t understand….This thing is so loud I swear it will cause birth defects….No way I am going to take off the shroud….I would seriously be afraid that if I shot it in the house without the shroud it would blow out a window…….Mean…..I tell ya MEAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!lol….

Also have a reg. talon my fun gun.
Just installed a .25 cal barrel with stock talon everything, thinking of hoppin her up with all the shit, heavier hammer, high flow valve, wonder if tony would send me the parts???
Kinda like the idea of a balls out lead pellet spittin machine.

It is great to have a gun setup for every situation or at least a few different situations….You have the right idea…
You have the workings of a cannon for sure….
Just remember SAW…Ain’t no coming home with game with one like that….I wish I would have kept my SS…I still regret selling it…Oh well….I have a 12″ barrel to use as a last resort….Talon tank and a 12″ barrel I’ll be back to stealth in no time….Let’s just say the birds I hunt spook easily and I would rather not draw any attention when I am on the prowl…..
Harry, I sent an email to Tony asking him some questions about using a Talon bottle with the heavy hammer and told him what the numbers where and he said the same thing as you. “Jeff, the velocities do not look right, way to high.” So who knows how close or far off the numbers are…I know one thing is for sure, I am shooting the kodiaks at super sonic speeds and beyond with the 24″ barrel. There is absolutely no mistaking the crack…..I will pump it up to 2,900 tonight and sling a Eun Jin and see if it cracks…If it does I can pretty much trust what the Chrony is reading..or at least confirm that this gun is putting out ome serious fps…That’s about all I have to go on….
It would be one thing if i was trying to make it as powerful as possible but I am trying to calm it down so that I can shoot JSB’s with some sort of stealth….There is not a creature within 40 miles of here with all of this noise….I have a Talon bottle on order and some other things in the works to be able to get a reasonable shot count with 850-950 fps without all the pumping…. The soga continues….

Yea, man there is no one left out there that can use thier hands to make, build, or fix things….I have been working by myself for over 12 yrs just because I would rather do it myself than rely on or trust anyone else….
I bought the Condor used and it was already tuned by Talontunes so I am not sure what the hammer weight is or how much valve work was or wasn’t done…..The sound barrier crack is bad with a 28-2900psi fill….I just finished shooting it in the house with a 2400psi fill and JSB’s and my ears are till ringing…..Sounds just like a .22 long rifle….Without the shroud it is just a friggin monster…Like a 40 cal boom and the sound barrier crack…..Wicked…..
MC: Your gun went up from 1,040fps with Kodiaks and 18″ barrel, to 1,235fps / 24″ barrel? Wow, 200fps more or 21fpe with 6″ of barrel length.
Anyway if your TT .22 is that powerful and your Chrony is accurate, then your gun is a perfect candidate for .25. With .25cal barrel (24″) your gun should be shooting 31gr Kodiaks at 1,135 and 42gr SamYangs at 1,035fps. That’s 99fpe with 42gr! (w/24″ barrel) or 88fpe with Kodiaks. That is really smoking..
I have never heard of TT building a 100fpe Condor (if you were to go .25).. but what do I know? You seem to have a one of a kind “Tony Special”. Usually 99-100fpe is achieved with the heavier Surefire 60+gr .25 slugs. Maybe Tony bored out the valve a little too much or something and it’s using more air than usual to get that kind of power.. don’t know but your gun is unusually powerful.
Maybe Tony will jump in and tell us why you ‘re gun shoots lead so fast.
My TT.25 does 970fps wtih 42gr at 2,950psi and 950fps at 2800 (like the AAA Condors on his web site) but it only goes down an average of 4fps after each shot for 50 shots, never more. It’s always down 160fps after 40 shots or 200fps after 50. Your Condor would have the same or more energy with 31gr Kodiaks than mine does with 42gr (87-88fpe!).
In any case, have you thought about getting a Scuba? That’s a lot of pumping for only 5 shots. I couldn’t do it. Com’on you got more $ for TOYS now since the -ex is gone.. spend the $200 on a Scuba and fill-station or sell me your gun 😆

I still swing the hammer pretty hard, have my licsense so I need to find some good kids that want to learn a craft so I can concentrate on finding work for them, the same way I was as a young punk.
Hard to find good help nowadays.

Also, going that fast do you get a sound barrier crack with the shroud, just curious about the noise

that’s why thats the go outside gun, the beast, so without the shroud it’s way louder even cracking the sound barrier ?
Come to think of it the shroud must do something to tame it even though your super sonic
Always thought once you pass that speed it was just plain loud, no room for improvement
