Q:

Talon P lured me back to THE DARKSIDE!!!

I haven’t frequented this forum for years, and sold almost all of my Airguns four years back (including my beloved .22 Condor). The Marauder .25 dragged me back in, and along with it I picked up fetish for Hammerli Pneumas as well.

Along comes the Talon P, and it tickled both of my funny bones for Airguns and a past love for PB pistols (TC contenders). That being said, I drove across town to see Shane and Kip at AOA today and left with one of these buggers outfitted with a Hawke red dot, a pressure-switched 160 lumen tactical light, the AF buttstock, a load of .25 Kodiaks and a pretty substantial Airgun boner :-).

I will post some pics and thoughts about it, but the whole house finally went to bed and they’re are several pesky nocturnal mammals on our acre if Sonoran Desert that are “dying” for the chance to meet my new toy.

Too bad I have to in the office tomorrow at 7:00 am 😉

Its not that the TAG forum doesn’t like the P, it’s just that many of the members are more drawn to long distance shooting with their AF rifles. I routinely get 2-3″ groups at 125 yards with my Condor shooting 18.1 JSBs. That being said, I keep looking at the Talon P and thinking how fun it would be to send one off to Tony at TT and have him tune it. It’d be awesome to have a “shorty” I could toss in a day pack for hiking. A red dot sight, a wokguard, some magpul bits, and some baffles to quiet it down. Love to see pics of your guns when you can post them.

wolfeman 😀

DDs are a good thing, so are TalonPs. Like I said, it’s all about having fun. Some guys are just a little too serious about their hobbies. Some would totally disagree with what I am doing with my TalonP but who cares. It’s my TalonP and I’ll do as I please with it. If I want to turn it into an assault rifle look-a-like that shoots nothing but Surefire 6 ring slugs then that is what I’ll do and actually am doing. But the stock TalonP is fine as is. I added a R&L Shorty Shroud to mine right after I shot it in my garage indoor 25′ range for the first time. 😯

Pay no attention to the naysayers, long live the TalonP.

They don’t like it??? 14-1/4″ L.O.P. on an overall length of 27-3/4″ shooting .25 Kodiaks at 846 FPS bone stock on PW #8 and they don’t like it?

It’s like saying “I don’t like the 5′-4″ girl with DD’s” 🙂 🙂 🙂

The TalonP more or less pulled me back into PCPs too. I owned a Sumatra 2500 Carbine and a Benjamin Discovery. I sold all of my PCP stuff and got into black powder pistols for awhile. Then I got a look at the TalonP and thought about all the fun I could have customizing it using paintball parts. I know the TalonP is not very popular on the TAG but my goal is to have fun and I’m having fun with my TalonP. I’m sure you’ll have plenty of fun with your TalonP also.
