Q:

Talon SS from mdimdi going .25 caliber :)

Someone missed out on a great buy from mdimdi and I snagged it. Rifle is about a year old and looks brand new. It’s scheduled for a Pulaski Extreme make over 😀

I installed the Centerpoint 3×12 Compact scope on a one piece high mount to see what that would look like … it’s a GREAT scope for the money .. bright clear optics thru that 30mm tube and I really like the sidewheel !

Coming up next is a full trigger job with set screws and polished trigger components.

A one piece black/gray laminated stock with a tactical rail mounted in the forearm and attachments 😀

Then comes a 90 gram hammer on a polished Metal Head 16 inch .25 caliber barrel.

Condor high flow bottle with polished valve that is super consistent on the chronograph.

And to quiet it all down an 8 inch Metal Head Mod 🙂

It’s also getting the WOK butt and sling swivel studs so I can shoulder this squirrel blaster.

I am hoping the combo will give me at least 65 FPE with Kodiaks and I also have some of the new 25 grain JSB Kings on hand in case it has a preference for those.

Here she is for the moment … and never to look the same again .. it’s going to be a fun build 😀

Steve, if you want to tear down & mask up your rifle you can send it to me and I’ll blast it for you. Kinda crazy to buy a cabinet, etc. just for that unless you want one anyway. I was thinking about painting my gun in Olive Drab since it’s got so many scratches from tear downs all the time.

Here’s your barrel & shroud, I tested these out and it’s damn quiet with that big ol’ shroud you spec’d.

I am thinking of removing the rubber cover on the Condor bottle and JB Welding the WOK disk washer too it .. and then making a black and gray laminated cheek piece to install on the bottle.

That’s why I started with the high mounts on this one … we’ll see if I can pull it off or not 🙂

I’m also considering buying a blasting cabinet so I can remove the anodized finish with 120 grit aluminum oxide and then apply a Dura Kote finish to the entire rifle. I think it sure would look good like that if done properly 🙂
