Talon SS Newly modded valve shot string opinion PLEASE!!!!
Guys,
Just moded my 12″ Talon SS using the mod in the FAQ section. I messed with the TH adjustment and PW and did not get a decent shot string from 3000PSI so I upped the fill pressure to 3200 PSI and would like your opinion:
PW at zero! TH at .088″

Thoughts? Why is it the PW and top hat seemd to have little change to the FPS?

Yeah, set the Condor tank for silly power 😎 😎
I’m sure a Talon can be souped up but if you want both a .22 Condor and a .177 or .22 “SS” it makes sense to me to start with the slightly heavier Condor and MOD it down. Now I have my multi purpose 24″ .22 Condor/12″.177 CondorSS. I only had to re-positionor remove the hammer weight. use LOW fill PSI and for extra quietness (only a ping) I vented the .177 front bushings.
In my experiences the souped up is exciting but doesn’t last near as long.
Thats what i am thinkin Pab, get another condor valve and set up a 53 cu in tank like what you have, that way i can leave my condor tank alone and set it up for shootin a differant pellet .
PD, save up and get the etacreg. It really is that good mate.
soon as i find out how much a condor valve cost. i may make him an offer for his condor tank.

Yeah I saw he sold a condor. I think maybe he has 2 guns. Well one now.
The hammer is the same as the condor hammer it is roughly 47 grams. The added condor weight is 19 grams. Yeah, it makes sense that his gauge is reading incorrectly. I have 6 gauges in all and none of them are ever exactly the same. I guess it pays to get the best ones available.

When I had my Talon SS 12″ my setting were
PW 4 TH .072″ IIRC
Crosman premieres 850 fps
Kodiaks 755 fps
3000 PSI
I don’t have any shooting strings but 40-50 good shots was common.
When I ported and polished the valve the fps increased 50 fps.
That’s one thing i was thinking Pab, either gauge reading wrong, or take valve off and tighten up the nut . to make more valve spring pressure.

its an SS right , so it should have a talon valve. Condor valve? if so he needs to turn down the top hat.
is the gun new , never been fooled with , or has some one been into it.

What 80 grit posted on stock hammer weight is correct 😆 But I guess the guy that wanted to know what was going on got involved with his girl freind 😯 Should have stuck with the Condor they are much easier to put up with 😯 😯
