Talon SS with 18" and moderator
Just wanted to show you guy’s my solution to get my Talon SS with an 18″ barrel super quit.
Someone was nice enough to thread my barrel with some UNF and in my garage I found the
perfect little piece of rubber to make it look nice !
The rubber piece is a bearing dust cover from a mountain bike hub, manufactured by Shimano, so easy to come by.
The part fits like a glove as is, no tinkering.
The complete setup :

The cheap rubber solution, but what do you think, does it look nice enough ?

where can i get one of those gauge adapter he has on his bottle?
Obey the law of the land you live in is the key to remaining legal.
Remember our Airguns are illegal in many parts of the world and we don’t worry about it.
Talking about guns and silencers is still legal in America.
NOT REALLY ➡
Looks great! Love to find off the wall stuff that works. That Quick fill adapter with the pressure gauge looks like it could be a hot seller. A lot of guys would like to have a pressure gauge they could refer to while shooting. When recharging I prefer having at least two gauges in line to insure that I do not overfill. Besides these gauges are inexpensive and they may become unreliable at anytime.
Nothing wrong with talking about silencers or moderators, LDC’s what ever. Same Same. It’s just that in the US they can’t be readily used on a fire arm without modification. Thats where the threaded part becomes a problem here in the Us. This is why many of the companies who use this type of silencer/moderator on AG’s shipped here permanently affix them.
But what ever you do, Don’t talk about this!!! 😀

A reg would be nice, but here are the latest results of my stealth (identical to a talon without the powerwheel).

Really nice kit there. Love the ‘clean’ looks of it all. Would be great to fit a reg inside there as well… 😉

This is an international forum and talking about silencers is not a problem.
Obey the law of the land you live in is the key to remaining legal.
Remember our Airguns are illegal in many parts of the world and we don’t worry about it.
Talking about guns and silencers is still legal in America.
‘Silencer’ is not a bad word here, guys. We all are aware of whatever laws govern where we live and we all are aware that others on this site live in areas where the dreaded ‘S’ word is perfectly legal.
No need for anyone here to bust anyone elses chops on it.
Sure, if some nimrod comes on saying he is from New Jersey asking how to build a silencer that he can fit on his airgun and also to a firearm….then thats one thing…
But a fellow just popping on to show his rig? No worries.
Nice looking rig. Interested in the gauge and refil… can you elaborate a bit on that setup?
And in the Uk silencers are legal, and so is hunting with air rifles. With a firearms certificate you can even get a “moderator” for your .308 hunting rifle.
It’s different in France,Italy,Portugal,Russia.
I would hope that, in the land where freedom of expression is guaranteed by the Constitution, an employee of the BATF can tell the difference between a domestic poster and a foreigner. 🙂
Oke, I am sorry if this is causing problems, I never intended that.
The thing is that I live in The Netherlands, where screw-on silencers are legal.
Hunting with airrifles on the other hand is not, different country’s, different laws.
Just comes to show that the internet has no borders.
I also never realized that ‘moderator’ and ‘silencer’ are not the same thing, thanks for setting me straight. (English is not my native language, always nice to learn something new)
Again, sorry for any trouble this may cause.
Too late for that now.
Don’t mean to be a stick in the mud, but that picture, and the talk surrounding it makes me somewhat uncomfortable. That looks like, and truth be told, is not a moderator….and is a “silencer.” All we need is for one person to show pictures like that to the “wrong” person, and this site and all airgun modifications could be in jeopardy.
I think before one starts posting pictures with “screw-in” moderators, he should chat with someone like Tony and ask him what he has to go throught with people from BATF. I’m sure any commercial modder or tuner has frequent visits from those guys.
I just think we don’t need the kind of attention that pictures of screw-ins can bring us.
I don’t mean to offend anyone, just thought it was something that needed to be said.
That looks very nice…. 😀
