As promised, here are some more detailed photos of my Talon mods frome nose to tail.
Exactly. Your modified Talon (and my love of flat top m4s) was my inspiration for this project.
Amazingly enough all I needed for the flat top mod was a dremel tool and some super glue to attach the new rail. Probably not battle tough, but enough for my backyard patrols.
I like the scope rail mod. One of the best things one can do to these guns, if you have the ability to.
As you can see, we both did similar mods to our guns.
To clarify, the quad rail is a two piece bolt on which attaches to the barrel by compression alone (hex bolts at each corner). All I needed to do was grind out the internal contact points so it would fit flat against the upper and lower surfaces of the stock Talon SS barrel shroud.
Thanks for the comments! I’ll try to post some additional, better resolution, pics this weekend to show my individual mods, but here is the summary for now:
My main interest in the Talon SS from the beginning, and what led me to this forum, was the sound suppression potential. So the first purchase I made was a drop-in insert from Subssonic, which has been very sucessful for my suburban squirrel eradication campaign.
The other obvious changes I made were the Wok Gard 15 and the Command Arms 15 grip.
To answer your questions, the foregrip is a UAG M4 quad rail normally used on AR15s, but with a little grinding fit on the Talon just fine and allows additional attachments, like the Magpul angled foregrip you see in the photo.
The tank is a TalonP spinloc tank which, with a little tuning, works great for my application and allowed me to fit the Rap4 adjustable buttstock over it. I attached the buttstock adjustment guide rail to the tank using the magical substance called superglue.
You may have also noticed I chopped off the built in riser and glued on a picatinny rail above the breech at the same level as the quad rail to create a flat top, on top of which are UTG risers and a UTG 3-12×44 scope.
Finally, under the barrel is a small RAP4 laser.

That quad rail is about the neatest mod I’ve seen done to an AF gun. Whizzo shot.
