Q:

TalonTunes Big Bore…….(pics)

We have been developing these rifles for years and just wanted to introduce “The Extreme Hunter”

Thes will be available in the very near future.

It is .40 caliber with 28″ barrel and Timney trigger

Right now we have a 230 grn slug moving at 920FPS max for 432 FPE at the muzzle, good for three shots all touching at 50 yards.

These rifles will be made to order in any config you want.

These rifles are constantly being tested and will not be released until they are the best they can be as backed up by TalonTunes.
Hope you like what you see.
Big Thank You….
Tony

any news or updates on these Tony?

😆 😆 😆

Uh…ohhhhh!

I done said something wrong and i retract my statement.

I now refer people to SUREFIRE.

Seriously though Jerry, don’t worry bro, your name and email always comes up as well as casting. Believe me, a lot of guys don’t wanna cast. I just give them all options

Dyotat100…..lol…good one. Your statement about the bullets is ONE OF MY BIGGEST self kept complaints. I now refer people to CAST YOUR OWN STUFF……….IT’S WAAAY CHEAPER, very fun, and you can control quality and cost. And by the way, since i cast too for a while now, i can tell ya why his bullets come out in such bad shape and sizes…………………

Hey Ced,

Timmy wants a word with you!

I think we all like the way Ted does his reviews but I also think you (Tofaz) have more experience with big bore. Just my .02

Well guys, thanx first for listening to my rant. I’ve been on an airgun rant for the last few months and i hate to sound negative about them but, i think the state of airguns is taking a turn and a turn for the negative.

But thanx for the ROOTING guys, but I’m just not interested in reviewing guns right now. I like the way TED does his stuff.

Bogman, i agree on the testing thing.

I second that notion. I’d be much more trusting of Tofaz’s reviews for the shear fact that he isn’t selling anything. The way that RV comes across to me is buy, buy, buy my bullets. Plus I’m always excited to see a new video from Tofaz.

I wasn’t joking ToFaz, I think you would do a very thorough and unbiased assessment of the rifle. I also believe that you being a “real world” shooter and not some shop or ammo dealer could give better feed back to Tony and Allen for their continued development.

If there using his slugs that could be the reason. I ordered .308 from him and the quality is sad. Either he doesn’t measure them or he doesn’t care. Nothing he sent me measured .309 as claimed. I know they aren’t perfect but for the price he gets for them they should be damn good. The 150 gr measured .30745-.3107 on the the same slug. Swears they were sized .309 but the mold seam was still on the slug. Another size measured .30745. Sent them back for a refund and instead he resized them to .308. Now they all measure around .30745. I wonder if he even measures them or iis measuring them with a $10.00 set of calipers.

Thanks Tof.! I bypassed the missing brain cells by sticking an alligator clip in one ear and the other end up my nose. Plus, a few extra hours of sleep and a mason jar of coffee helps. Makes sense now that you’ve illuminated.

Y’know, I didn’t finish watching the Vogel vid, connection was too slow and I glazed over when the ammo was scrolling by-time to go. Yep, took forever to get to the point(s). Water jug? What happened to the time-honored tradition of putting a can of Lysol on a brick, in a fire, and shooting that? (It better be at a good distance!) Now that’s quality entertainment.

Maybe those pre-release posts/tests ought to START by saying ,at least once, “This gun is in the development stages, but here’s what we’re seeing so-far.”…
Y’know, just so others can take a look, make suggestions, etc.

This line of rifles is still a work in progress, isn’t it? Bet Tony’s got a bunch of shooters testing and wanted Vogel to be one of them since he’s got a big selection of ammo on hand.

Anyway, a good 2 cents worth, indeed.

Gotta put a can of Lysol on the shopping list before I forget. Oh, and ditch the alligator clips before going to work. hmmmm … maybe not.

I think you summed that up nicely Tof’ 😎

BOGMAN…again, too funny.

YES, that is the very same TT gun in the links. IT’S JUST LONG AS HELL. Randy even sais it’s THAT GUN. Then ALLEN AVRAM chimes in and tells Randy to try the bullet the gun does well with which are the Vogel HP’s at 230 gr.

And that’s my point, it’s not the performance of the gun but more of Randy’s one sided testing that it took him forever to post on. IT SERIOUSLY PISSES ME OFF WHEN SOMEONE TAKES THE TIME TO BRAG ABOUT A GUN THEY JUST GOT THEN……….POOF!!!, THE USUAL BIG BORE DISAPPEARING ACT! We all get busy time to time (which never seems to happen “BEFORE” the gun arrives) but i swear, this type of HYPE is so transparent and I’m gonna start calling it out.

1. If you seriously don’t have time to TEST a gun, pass it on to someone who does or DON’T post about it till you get time. Getting BUSY AT WORK all of a sudden OR not even posting about the gun EVER, sais nothing but negative things in my worthless 02 cents.

2. Shoot the gun and see if is shoots well before you do a half assed post or at least, post groups with 4-5 different slugs including the guns RECOMMENDED slugs. After all, you do own the store that sells a TON of RV bullets.

3. If the gun does not shoot well, get in touch with the maker and work it out. Once worked out, do a thorough post. I’m speaking from experience here….lol. He was talking about selling the gun at his store after posting that group. Ummmmmmmmm….NO!

He actually had nothing positive to say about the gun. He even complained about the bolt handles being too small/short and hurting the hand.

I’m sorry but i have to say it, TT, the gun could have been given to a better person for testing (NO, not me, one of your guys could have done the testing). Also, shooting a water jug in your basement at only 18 yards does nothing for my pecker………SORRY! Had to go there. ALL BIG BORES WILL BLOW UP A PLASTIC JUG AT 18 yards away including my lowly 454 cal/250 FPE Dragon Slayer. Hit it at distances between 100-200 yards and i’d be more impressed. There are too many You-Tube videos of guy blasting water filled milk jugs with everything from 9mm +, 40 S&W, .45 ACP+ up to 50 cal Barretts at only 20 yards away and……….IT ALL LOOKS THE SAME. And I’m the king of shooting water bottles and jugs. It’s only somewhat interesting if its done at range cause what folks wanna really c is………IF the gun is accurate.

Again, and just so everyone here including Tony and Allen and Big bore don’t get me wrong, LOVE the looks of the gun but, the testing and advertising so far is not being done right. Hell, send it to Ted in Madison for all i care. I was honestly joking about sending it too me cause i don’t do reviews but, i could very easily. My complaint for a few years now is the lack of good or thorough reviews that make you wanna buy something (Ted does it right).

And while i’m ranting about big bores, GOD, i hate 30-36″ barrels on these guns man. While it’s simply my opinion, them guns are too fucking big and long to be practical but for some reason (being king of power), that’s the way they are all heading. My buddy bought a Ranger with a 30″ barrel and had to transport it in a rifle case made for a Barrett 50. It was the longest gun in his gun vault and he’s got a few 408 CHEYTAC’s and Weatherby 338 Lapua Mags.

Sheeeeit. I call JC Whitney and ask for a product number for neurons to fit a 1959 Lithuanian-Italian and the bitch hung up on me. What the hell happened to customer service?

Man, now I’m wondering what’s up. The Extreme Hunter( Tony) or Xtreme Hunter?
“The gun is the Xtreme Hunter from Al Avram” was the first link Tof had and it looked like a different gun from a different maker, though the name of the gun was similar. Groups not so good.

I didn’t order one from Tony because they aren’t available yet. I was commenting on Tony’s data/post vs. what I thought was a different gun in Tof’s links. So…since I’ve had a grand total of two hours sleep in 48 hours, can someone please explain if the “less than stellar” groups in Tof’s links are the same gun as the TT Extreme Hunter? Cuz if they are, I missed something.

Maybe I picked up a brain-eating virus in the Emergency Ward last night! Better order some more neurons from JC Whitney. Wonder if they come in different colors….

quote Tofazfou:

Tisk Tisk Tony, you shoulda sent the gun to me for a thorough testing. 😆

I second that notion! to faz will put that thing through it’s paces, and he knows what he’s talking about… especially when it comes to the big bore toys
