Anyone who has not been an asshole, raise your hand. 🙄 😉

That’s alright Mike, I have been known to be one from time to time as well

I had to call AF a couple of years back and Ted told me to ask for Yevette. She wanted to know who told me to ask for her. She was rude as hell, and let me know that the forum was full of morons that did nothing but ruin their perfect produce.

Well you know me. I told her exactly who I was, what I did for a living, and that I had more experience in precision metal working than she could ever hope to have. And that their product had a LOT of engineering and quality control problems. With that she finally shut up and ALLOWED me to order the parts I needed.

At first she said I had to send the gun in rather than ruining it. (Just like every one else on the FORUMS!) She said. That is when I went off on her. And told her that there was no way I would let them work on my gun. It should have been right from them in the first place. And if they worked for me that I would fire the hole lot of them. Starting with the rude customer service staff.

Sometimes I’m just a Ass Hole! Especially when some body is rude and tries to tote themselves as superior that doesn’t have a clue in hell at what they are talking about. She did a fine job of mimicking the sales pitch, but had no idea as to the actual workings of the gun. Yet let on to be an expert while running us down here at the TAG! 👿

Nice…those knives sound awesome. You should try to get Ted hooked on the AF guns 😛 😛 😛 😛 He could support the entire industry 😯

Well he seems to be supporting AF rifles here… 8)
I posted this before in a similar thread.

I haven’t talked to Ted in years now. He has moved again, and I don’t have his Add’y or new #

I do know that he has shot the AF guns and got a kick out of them.

For what it’s worth, I use to own an Archery Shop. It was through the Archery shop and my Knife business that Ted and I met. We had mutual friends in the Archery business, and they told Ted about my Knives. So he picked up the phone and gave me a call.

He bough quite a few Lovett Knives.

There was a special batch of them with His Wolf Logo on one side, and My Logo on the Other. They all had Zebra Wood Micarta for the Grips. Zebra-go Figure. Ted is nuts about Zebra. The Guards were bronze, and textured like a a gold nugget. We called it N-Bark. If anyone wants, I find a pic of a set of them. (They came in 4 Knife sets.)

I understand the Knives are very collectible now. 😀

Ted is the most badass rocker out there. Not only is his music insane, but he has the perfect mix of crazy and awesome that make him the most hardcore rocker out there

Knifemaker; Are you still in contact with him? Do you know if he shoots airguns at all? I know he is into bowhunting, blackpowder and conventional firearms, so airguns is the next logical step.

Of course he did The interview. And many more like it. You have to understand. Ted is in business. The Music Business among others.

In order to succeed, especially back in the day, you had to present a certain image. That’s show business. Ted is known (Back in the day). As the Michigan mad man. The persona did well for him. It propelled hem along in the day of Stepping Wolf, Jimmy Hendrix. And a lot more.

If he had presented himself as NON Drug Pro culture rather than Anti-culture, he would have been shunned back then. believe me. I know. I grew up in those days. There is no way you could understand unless you lived then. It was CRAZY..The very last thing you wanted was to appear clean cut and straight Strait back then didn’t mean non Gay.

He would have been an out cast in the Rock world. Hell. When he did in later years support non drug use, and clean living, the rock business did just about turn their back on him. It is a crazy business, all about appearances.

This translates to his concerts too. I remember the first time Ted called me back in the late 870″ or early 90’s. He told me who he was and I just about hung up on him. I didn’t believe it was really Ted Nugent, but a prank. The Real Ted Nugent is nothing like what you see on stage. Or in interviews before or after the concerts.

On stage, he is hard charging. High pitched voice, and just crazy wild. In person. Not on TV or Radio, he has a deep voice and talks in a very intellectual and studied manner. Not the Rock Star at all. Just a genuine Good old Boy. Down to earth, and sharp as hell.

Believe me. He knew exactly what he was saying in the interviews, with exactly the results he wanted. He is just that sharp. Not that many people know the real Ted. He is no where as whaco as he lets on. But it really catch the Anti Gun Nuts and Left wingers off guard. They don’t expect the comebacks when in a debate with him. He will act half crazy some times, and only seems to be half listening. The BAM! He’s got you! I’m telling you. The boy may be a showman, but he is Smart as Hell! And knows how to use it against the opposition.

You’ve heard of the Hog nose snake that can act like a cobra or rattler to get away?

Ted does exactly the opposite. He is the lion in the sheep’s clothing. And the media just keeps falling for it.

I’ll never forget a speech he gave at one of the SHOT Shows. The Anti’s were there, and heckled the speech. He was challenged on hunting. The PITA -vegetarian folks though he had them.
Ted let out a tirade giving stats on how many animals were going extinct around the world due the the clear cutting of forest to grow broccoli for them. What the animals had to go through during the winter months in some locations doe to the lack of food. How and why decease decimated the populations due to hunger and over population. How the moneys collected through the license of hunters, and moneys donated through orgy’s. like Ducks unlimited and other were used for the well being of the Animals..He stopped them dead in their tracks. When he ask, how much did Peta spend for the health of Deer. Turkey, Pheasant. Any animal last year. They were dumbfounded. They were speechless. But Ted had the numbers off the top of his head. Not only what American Sportsmen spent. But what PETA Spent. Along with other left wing orgy’s. He embarrassed the Hell out of them. I saw several of the Women in the PETA group leave the room in tears. He tore them up. And he was RIGHT!!! And they knew it. They left the shot show with their tails between there legs.

If you ever get into a pissing contest with the Nuge, you had better have your facts straight. He’ll bury the un-informed in their own ignorance and arrogance before they know what hit them.

Mike

Odd to be giving an interview to High Times… :11

Knife – Glad you got through those encounter’s.

Deaf? Here is what I found…

From Wikipedia (I know, lots of salt…).

Military

When Nugent had his chance to shoot at others that shot back in Vietnam he decided instead to take a pass. An interviewer from the British newspaper The Independent questioned Nugent about a 1977 interview in High Times magazine in which Nugent allegedly detailed elaborate steps taken to avoid the Vietnam draft.

“I got 30 days’ notice of the physical,” Nugent told them. “I ceased cleansing my body. Two weeks before the test I stopped eating food with nutritional value. A week before, I stopped going to the bathroom. I did it in my pants. My pants got crusted up.”

Nugent dismissed the veracity of these statements, saying “You’ve got to realize that these interviewers would arrive with glazed eyes and I would make stories up.” He explained that he did not go to Vietnam because he had a one-year student deferment.

When questioned, he admitted that he had “not wanted to get his ass blown off in Vietnam,” but made note of a tour he made with the USO in 2004 to Fallujah and Afghanistan as support of his assertion that “I am not a coward.”

He also said that “Because I failed to serve in Vietnam, I feel an obligation now, to do everything I can to support those defending our freedom. Do I feel guilt and embarrassment? Yes.”

————————————————————————————-

Knife, i’m not trying to drag his name through the mud or make judgements of his character. A friend brought it up when we were on the phone and I though it was worth looking into… Fuck, I probably would have done the same to not go to Vietnam, my dad had a full scholarship to Yale when the war started and he joined the Navy!!! THAT takes some balls! 😯

Thats an old wives tale that comes up abut every 10 years or so. Ted is just about deaf. During the draft, he was already deaf in one. the right ear i think, and was not eligible.

My farther was deaf in his left ear when WWII started, and was also ineligible. I would take offense to anyone calling My father, and certainly Ted Nugent UN patio tic.

He has done much for the Men and Women in service. At his own expense I might add! Ted has never been about making money. But rather using money for the betterment of the American Citizen.

Not to mention the programs he has started and continued for kids in the inner cities. Remember the “Off the Streets, and on the Creeks”. Yep Ted started that one. Not the Fishing Guy we all think about. Ted doesn’t just talk right and wrong. Anti Drug, Pro America, He actually does something about it. The man is a dynamo. No way in hell I can keep up with him. I have never seen anyone with so many irons in the fire at once. And the few I have known to be close, it was to make money or further their status. With Ted, It is for the Weak. The young. The Fighting Man and Woman, and combating drugs , Illegals And your and my Rights!. Fighting for our Rights as free Americans to defend our selves, our family and the Innocent.

God I wish we had a few dozen politicians like him!!
I cannot think of one single person who has done so much for our rights since the days of the Founding Fathers. He has done that much. The only reason the public doesn’t know about it is that Ted doesn’t get on the air ways and brag or ask for attention. He does it out of conviction. The true belief that America and Freedom of the People really does mean something precious.

I’ll say it here first. Ted Nugent for President!!! 😀 😀 😀

I will be forever grateful and totally unworthy to call Ted Nugent Friend.

To Ted. “TED GARLIC AND BUTTER!!!” 😉
