Suppose you’re a nineteen year old rockstar, what sounds better, touring concerts or touring Vietnam? He has been one of the most outspoken 2nd amendment advocates of our time, doesn’t drink or do drugs, lives off the land more than most even though he’s wealthy and could do anything he wished, supports people in service to our country, and he drives a bronco. He’s OK in my book. If more people had his moral compass the world would be a better place. Does he feel he made a mistake as a teenager, or would he do it over the same only he can answer. we have a president who’s closest cabinet members don’t feel they need to pay taxes, hate on those bastards instead of someone who is actually interested in the peoples best interests. He isn’t trying to bend the country over, trying to force our rights from us, or garner votes, just doin his part to get the word out with his only payback being he retains his rights right along with the rest of us. Go Ted. Double standard or not he is an asset to this country and i for one am glad he’s doin his thing. 8)

Anyone ever realize that Ted pussied out on the draft… 😯

I like the guy but he bailed when he could have joined to fight for all the stuff he “believes in”…

I have been called less of a man because I didn’t join (even though I was physically unable when I turned 21) so here is a “man” that took steps to avoid the draft and calls himself a patriot and most people just go along with it and piss on others that skipped the draft…

Guess everyone has their double standards. 🙄

No. Thank you Tron, and Many of the Great people we have here! 😉

Mike

It is worth a lot, Mike. Thank you.

Thanks Tron. I left out a lot of the ruff details. It got really bad in the killing house. I still suffer physical injuries from the encounter.

Just a very short time earlier I had lost several friends in the Luby’s massacre. I was just out side the restaurant when the shooting started. 23 dead. Many more injured. A lot of good people.

One of the officers that faced the bad guy down in Luby’s is a very close friend. He (Al Morris and Ted Nugent) helped me through a lot of the after math of the shooting. Suzan Hupp, (State Rep. was also a huge help. It takes awhile to get over a thing like that.

They say that everything has a purpose. These two incidents were instrumental in getting the Right to Carry Bill before the State Senate, and passing. The Crime rate here in Texas went down Immediately, and has been dropping ever since.

Unlike what the nay-sayers suggested, the Armed Citizen has made Texas a much safer place. Right the opposite of Wild West many said it would. Since then, I have been involved in several armed encounters. Some with shots fired. Some without. Luckily with no loss of life. But in each case, the streets became just a little safer. And the prisons just a little fuller. 😉

Less Crime is always a good thing!

For what it is worth, the TAG is one of the very few places I would ever talk about this.

Mike

Thanks Stower. That’s the one.

That sounds horrible, Mike. You know, having to take a life, even that of a scumbag, but better you go home to your family than he do0es to his.

Glad that you made it out of that situation okay, my friend.

Yes it was Tron. He was part of a gang that had killed several In Chi-town, Detroit, San Antonio, and a few other places. We closed our Archery Shop and the Knife Shop here during Desert Storm. A friend of ours owned the Chevy Store, so I went to work for him for a while selling Chevy Trucks.

The Gang got their Kicks by Car jacking, Kidnapping, and killing sales people on test rides. They had a killing house on Ft. Hood it’s self, in Liberty Village. They had killed a US Army MP just days before, and left him in field across the way from the house to rot. Their big mistake was keeping a diary and taping some of their murders. 6 or 7 in Detroit. More in Chi-Town, And San-Antonio. Fort Hood is the largest military base in the free world. I guess they thought it would be easy pickings.

Being ex LEO, I always have carried a back up. That is the one thing they didn’t expect.

Criminals are not afraid of the police, or being caught any where as much as screwing up and attacking an Armed Citizen. Really Fucks their Day up. Some times permanently.

I’ll never forget his words when he saw the little gun in my hand. “YOUR NOT GOING TO SH—–) While laughing at the tiny gun. He never got to finish his Sentence. I had already ordered him to drop his weapon, Get on his knee’s, hands behind his head. He laughed and and started the your not going to shoot me with a big grin and smirk. He never got the word shoot out of his mouth. At the first shot, he looked down at his chest and said YOU Shot me, Yep I said. Twice- Bam! End of story.

I gave the man every chance. He had no intention of stopping the attack. And I had no intention of dying for the pleasure of a punk ass scum bag.

Some of his gang came after me later in the year. They were no smarter than he was. But that’s another story.

I much later learned the name of the Gang was XXXXXXXXXXX. There was a huge investigation involving both locals, DPS, Texas Rangers, and FBI. I understand there were over 40 arrest made over the course of the next two years including the then head of the gang…I guess there was a lot of info in the diaries. the Fed’s didn’t tell me much about it, A few Texas DPS and Ranger Buddies did years later. But they did keep an eye out for me.

When I had to go the the Grand Jury, you would have thought the FBI and DPS were my attorneys. They were Great Guys.

Nice to have the “Big Guns” on your side! 😉

Mike

I went back and edited out the name of the gang. They are one of the more dangerous ones. I really don’t need them coming after me again. I now have a wonderful wife to think about. Backin the day, I didn’t have to worry about anyone else.
We have move out in the middle of no where. I’m enjoying the peace and quiet. Well, except our new shooting range! 😉

Mike

Mike; you had to defend your life against a carjacker, right?

Is it this one?
You have to load it into a web pic hosting service such as photobucket first, then load it to here.

Hey Mike I am happy to be able to talk to you on here. You and Ted are what make this Country Great. Would you please say hi to him for me? Somebody PLEASE tell me how to put up this vid. I tried the ol “drag and drop” No go.

I haven’t seen the vid, but I can tell you this. When Ted sinks his teeth in something, he doesn’t let go! He has more energy to get things done than any person I have ever met.

I am proud to call Ted a friend!

(And he was smart to become a (TEXAN). AS the saying goes, I may not have been born Texan, but I got here just as fast as I could!

You Go Ted, and remember “Garlic and Butter”!!! 😀 😉 ( a private joke between Ted and me)

Ted once said on a National jRadio Show and TV Show. , Quote-” I have a friend down in Texas that knows the meaning of Gun Control. He put three bullets throug the same Bro.!” Any guesses as to who he was talking about? 😉

Mike
