THE BEST RIFLE SCOPE

i would like to know wich the best rifle scope ( manufacturer and Size ), to use in CONDOR .22, for a long range field target.

I like the Mil-dot scopes for easy range changing without having to adj. anything. An adj objective is a must if you ever want to see a clear target under 25m…. And I bet most competitors have worked their way up to the Leopold and Nikon $$$ scopes. It takes a lot of pellets to justify the cash for a scope worth more than the gun.
BURRIS is a great choice.

Yep, Kinda says it all. Well except the few BSA Scopes. Mega Crap.
I am seeing more and more people going to the Hawke scopes and MCT Vipers as well.
The Burris Timber Line Scope is probably a good scope for hunting, but it doesn’t have the power for ranging. Which is a must for Field Target.
This is not to diss. Burris Scopes. My Zeiss Scopes are many levels above a Burris and still would not work well for FT. Just not enough power or precise enough adjustment for accurate ranging.

I like the Burris Timberline 4.5X-14X-32mm… Its small, compact, has AO, and a very long eye relief. Available from Academy. Hasn’t lost zero in four months of ownership.
Rated for magnum center fire with extra internal springs and so on.

used by each competitor… This should give you a good idea of which scopes
are the best for USFT….

Well, go get a good schmidt and bender. Or a zeiss hensoldt. Those are the best you can get.
However, they will cost $3000 and up.
So you may want to give us a max price. 😉
If you have the funds, I’d go for the Nikko Stirling Diamond 10-50×60!
Yeah, it’s a beast, but it is a scope that a lot of field target guys use.

+2… I use it for pest removal, with known range, and target practice. Once you know your POI, adjust your scope and test your skills. I’m sure there are better scopes for pure target.
I am happy; I have a compact, clear optics, and AO in a $200+tax scope. That’s a good deal. So far 5 months and no loss in POI with 1″ at 40yards (TSS 12″ 177). Not even one click of the 1/8 MOA turrets to fix a shift.
If I find a problem I’ll be sure to post a Burris Sucks! here 🙂
