Just to share some thoughts, the R3M available here were all from first production, unless all of it will be disposed then no newer version will be coming but I’ve heard new batches will be arriving by 1st quarter of 2015 including Leylas.
You can find most of the new AG here including Ataman, colibri and Morana but the sad part is the after market, we do not enjoy the privilege of returning the product if you are not happy or something wrong with it, how much more with spare parts or customer support. Thanks to TAG my resource location if I needed information and people regards to my AG.

As long as the new breach was available a year ago and the Matador dealer in Kuwait sold me an old version , my question is to Edward : who should compensate me for that ?

you had 1x R3M that was rough, so you went to buy 2x R3s and finally you bought 1x new multishot breech for the R3M at 355$ and now it works flawlessly?
IMHO between the old and the new MS breech there must be something more than just the re-positioning of the ball-bearing of the magazine.
By re-positioning the ball-bearing you don’t solve the metal grinding inside the breech IMHO.
Happy to hear that your R3M now works fine and I’m sorry for those ones that don’t have the cash to replace the old breech with the new one.

For the sake of experiment i got me the (new) breech. And yes, it feels much easier to cycle the magazine. When i first got my R3M short i fell in love with the matador for its looks and accuracy, but frustrated with the roughness of its pellet cycling. Hence, bought 2 R3 .22 and .177.
With the new breech, i am proud to have owned the three.

did you pay the new gun price?
Didn’t the dealer tell you it was old stock (and probably malfunctioning)?
ED should have “recalled” all the old breeches IMHO in order to provide to everybody a properly working gun and in order to avoid weird situations (like now).
Instead he was saying to everybody to shoot 3K of pellets and then finally he has changed the design of the MS to the newer version that “supposedly” is working better.

Did the new breech prove to work better than the old one?
By the way Sniper, the new breech has been there for a year. The gun you bought 3 months back must be from an old batch laying around with the local dealer.

The difference between the old r3m breech and the new one is the ball that cock the hammer, on the old one the edges was rough where on the new one it is rounded, you can round the old breech edges that will improve the cocking a lot
