No doubt. Not in my mind.

.22lr wins. Wind affects both but affects Pellets more. More energy delivered in a .22lr at a 100yds is 90ft lbs. World Class ammunition has been around since post WWII. Costs or Match air and rimfire rifles are about the same. Ammunition is cheaper with air rifles. Support equipment way more expensive with PCP’s.
I haven’t been in the airgun world that long, but Have been a competitive shooter since age 12. Won two state junior championships when I was 13 and 14. Used an Anschutz 54 rifle in .22lr.

Consistent accuracy at 100yds goes to the .22lr.

I’ll add more later.

I have three .22 LR Rifles : A modified Sako Quad Range HB , a Weihrauch HW 66 HB and an Anschütz 1416 TH HB. The Sako is extremely accurate and the Weihrauch isn’t far behind . The least accurate is the Annie and it doesn’t shoot bad either.
The Sako shoots easy 1/2 ” at 100 meters every time if i do my part and it’s not too windy . The HW does very well too at 100m.

Your the only man in Sweden that shoots gun apparently………

I’d say so too. In fact i’d bet my remaining Nut it’s so.

.22 lr hands down…..

Just a bit more data on the “power plant” side. I’ve just tested a number of different .22 LR rounds in a High Standard Victor.

Most of the lower priced, non-target, rounds will shoot 5 shot groups with a muzzle velocity standard deviation between 15 and 20 FPS.

High end ammo such as Eley Pistol Match shoots all day long with an extreme spread of 1 FPS and a tiny SD.

By comparison, an SD of a 3-5 FPS is typical of the two regulated airguns I have (.22 Condor SS/Altaros reg., .25 Edgun R3M Long).

The best of .22 long rifle “power plants” are pretty good, but much more expensive per shot…

That damn Bridge is a pesky one. The whole Russian export seem to hang on its mere existence .. 😉

Unfortunately Annies suck ! 🙂
IMO an overly hyped Rifle in US. A bit like FX .. 😉

Exactly :dito:

Rumor is they are going to thread the barrels into the reciver on future models.

My favorite rimfire from Europe Is the old CZ 452, the izhmash biathlon basic is a sweet shooter too but has become over priced recently and not many have made the journey across the Estonian bridge ……

Never shot those old Winnies . Good rifles ??

Model 52 targets are the cream of the crop, especially pre world war 2 models. Model 75 targets are almost as good as the 52 but sell cheaper. Model 75’s are of similar quality of Annie’s at half the price.
