Well Ii’ve decided to purchase a BSA Scorpion T10 Bull Barrel Tactical .22 as soon as AOA gets them in – they say in about 4 weeks time… Until then Im gonna trade my 80 cf aluminium fill tank in for a steel high pressure 108cf tank and possibly off load my 12 and 18″ .177 barrels to any takers here on the forum…

There is a lot of talk about the smooth twist barrels in the Royale- and smooth twist it is. There is no rifling impression on the pellet after it leaves the barrel. From what I am understanding the twist rate gets more progressive toward the muzzle end of the barrel- in addition the choke must be pretty serious from the way the head and skirts look…

The roads cleared up pretty good today I am for sure gonna get a 3500 psi fill on my tank tomorrow and do some more testing. Im gonna add alittle preload to the hammer spring to bring up the power at the cost of shot count – My aim is to shoot 18gr JSBs at an average of 920 or so-spread over 50 shots. In fact I have already added two turns of preload to the hammer spring- from 200 bar shot number one was 936 shot number 40 was 906— — more details to come….—its like magic 😆
I think I will once I get to really shoot it. The dive shop was closed today so I could not get a fill – and I need a set of high rings for it.

Yep new $$ off due to out of stockness on on the synthetic that I really thought I wanted -but this here walnut is really nice. The gun is really quiet -if I have not already said that. We got hit with some snow today so I hope I can make it out to the dive shop for a tank fill…Havent even mounted the scope yet-but I will be doing that tonight…
I’m trying to but the guy (sac1022) hasn’t reponded yet. He’s not on the Yellow’s BOI but I decided to buy it anyway since we live in the same city and can complete the transaction in person. I hope he emails or calls but it also makes me wonder if I just foiled someone’s plan of pulling a scam. I’ll let you guys know. The Royale is a great rifle and a supposedly 4 month old .22 FX Royale 400 for $1150, shipped and in new condition, is a price I couldn’t pass up.

The Royale 400 is very very quiet – not sure what to compare it to —but it is very quiet– put 70 shots thru it with bad lighting for the chrony – only filled to 200 bar at shot 70 guage was reading 140 bar— — not gonna publish any numbers till this weekend when I have more time -better light… and more air.
