Q:

The Hill Pump has arrived!!!!(my encounter with the pump)

well ive been looking for a way to recharge my matador for some time now, and my way of doing that was with my 3000psi scuba tank…now being that the tank is 3000psi i was only getting a charge of 170bar MAX…that wasnt cutting it because id take a few shots and im down to 100bar….so after some deliberating over the shoebox…great white tank or the hill pump, I decided to buy the hill pump only because it was much cheaper than the other options….plus i dont shoot everyday so the pump seemed like the better choice……

well the pump came in today and set up was quick (about 10mins)….i had taken a trip to my local scuba shop to fill my gun but he was only able to get the gun to about 185bar….so i hooked up the hill pump to see how hard it would be to pump from 185 to about 205-210 bar….(being that everybody said getting up to 200 is the hardest)…..well 6 pumps in and i hit 200 bar…and another 4-5 hit 210bar….i couldnt beleive how easy it was….after watching all these videos and reviews of people complaining saying that it was back breaking….Take my word…its not what they say it is….now im 6’2 220lbs that could have helped the stoke of the pump be easier, but regardless it was easy and im extreamly happy with the hill pump…

Pump up the Jam !!

Fill it from empty and it’s more work… 😉

I think the EdGun tank is a whole lot smaller than the AF bottle. Depending on the pump you have (I think the Hill is more efficient than the AF) it can take a while to pump up an AF tank from empty. Three sessions with cool down periods.

Not sure how the Hill works for keeping air dry but the AF pump introduced a bit of moisture into my AF tanks leading to a little corrosion in the valve where the various metal met (mostly brass and the steel spring) it took some cleaning time but it was not any real issue.

I seem to remember the AF bottle is 500cc where the EdGun is only 300cc? 😕

Nice to be shooting at a full fill isn’t it!! 😀

Hi;

I bought a Hills hand pump almost 5 months ago, from BEST FITTINGS company in UK with full Service kit and some adapters, and i survived from the VAT so, it was really cheap, the pump was around $217 and i asked them to send the shipment to a Kurdish shipping company in UK, they ship 1 Kg with 1GBP, so all shipping cost from UK to my city in Iraq was 10GBP, finally the pump all others costed me $230, which i can say this was wonderful,
let say the pump is really durable and very easy to pump & performance is really great, i am very satisfied with my Hills Pump, :8: :8: :8: :8: :8: :8: :8: :8:
mine is 3rd Gen and came with Hill Dry Pack which gives 90% Dry Air.

you will not regret ….Urgirlinmyjetta
