Theoben Rapid using Crosman Marauder clip/magazine
I ordered a 10 round clip for a Crosman Marauder ($15.00) and found
that with just a little shimming it works as well as the Theoben Rapid 12
round clips ($104.00)…. I added 2 layers of aluminium tape on the back
side of the clip but then, found that a piece of self adhesive Neoprene
that I stuck to the bottom of the clip, making sure that I wasn’t blocking
the cover, and it works great…. I removed the aluminium tape… I
ordered 3 more…. Here is a the video with the clip shimmed with
aluminium tape and a picture of were I placed the self adhesive
Neoprene. Thanks again to noodles for the Neoprene…

That IS a complaint with many of the European guns…the outrageous prices for the magazines..I thought $45.00 was WAY TOO MUCH for a mag for my AA S410..while for my 1250 Dominator the mags are only like $16.00 for a two-pack 😯 😯 Making the Mrod mag work in the Theoben is just outstanding, IMHO, ….where there’s a will, there’s a way 😎
Is there a volunteer that would like to post me some of these to the UK? (assuming it’s legal)?

I mean yes, technically there may be minimal wear but, not enough to be
a concern for years to come…. I wouldn’t think it would be any different
than using it with the Marauder….
Jeff, is it going to cause wear on the bottom of the mag.? Just curious.
well im the wrong person to ask about the rifles….cause i honestly think they belong in a price class below the 410 (walnut)
the thing that attracted me to a rapid was 50 fpe, and .25….i thought spending $$$$ and the reputation rapid line has would net me an accurate powerful hunting gun, that left nothing else to wish for….man was i wrong, what a piece of shit i got
FX monsoon uses a magazine simelar to the rapids too, i dont know the price of it, but maybe its a better fit….but 15 bucks for a maurauder mag, just goes to show you the real cost which cant be much more than a couple of bucks, considering theres shipping, and they are not selling them for a loss !

Very creative there mam, and the neoprene that noodles sent is great on my tank especially in this weather no more cold face 🙂

I think this is going to work the best….
I cut a small piece of Plexiglass and shaped it to fit in the slot where the
clip fits….
Dimensions are
Thickness = 0.0855″/2.17mm
Width = 0.5805″/14.75mm
Length = 0.955″/24.24mm
I then roughed up the bottom with some 220 grit sand paper to give paint
something to hold to… I painted the bottom of the piece black so that the
double stick tape could not be seen through the Plexiglass piece…
I stuck a piece of Scotch Foam Mounting Squares (double stick tape) to
the bottom of the piece, and I trimmed the excess with scissors. I also
used a permanent marker to color the edges of the double stick tape
black just for asthetics…
I stuck the piece in the slot where the clip goes and it is working
perfectly…

It was fine Rob but, you would have to do the same thing to all of the
clips… I just thought that adding something to the gun instead was just
more simple…. It isn’t a bad idea by any means… I’m just looking for
stuff I have around the house to use… Seems the more I look the more I
find… I have some clear plexiglass that might work great with a piece of
double stick tape… Haven’t gotten that far yet but it is in the plans….
Well, great find anyway you secure it.
If the Plexi works, sounds like you may have found the ticket. No wear issues like the neoprene or Velcro could have.
Right and it should have a little give in the double stick taper to provide
light tension to keep the clip in place… I’ll have it tested in a few min. Gotta find my double stick tape…lol
No double stick tape in the house or garage.. Gonna have to make a Wally world trip….

Mamcrackin, how about your first idea, the two layers of aluminum tape on the back side of the clip? From the video it looked neat and clean?

Ok, I tried one more thing… Instead of 2 layers of the hook material and
one layer of loop material, I used 3 layers of the hook material and it
works great…. I have plenty of this stuff is anyone wants some…
