Q:

Theoben Rapid using Crosman Marauder clip/magazine

I ordered a 10 round clip for a Crosman Marauder ($15.00) and found
that with just a little shimming it works as well as the Theoben Rapid 12
round clips ($104.00)…. I added 2 layers of aluminium tape on the back
side of the clip but then, found that a piece of self adhesive Neoprene
that I stuck to the bottom of the clip, making sure that I wasn’t blocking
the cover, and it works great…. I removed the aluminium tape… I
ordered 3 more…. Here is a the video with the clip shimmed with
aluminium tape and a picture of were I placed the self adhesive
Neoprene. Thanks again to noodles for the Neoprene…

Good idea but are you not worried about the fuzz getting into the barrel there by possibly affecting accuracy?

I thought about that but those hair like fibers are nylon and don’t come
out very easily…There is also very little room for anything to get
between the barrel and the clip…. I THINK it will be ok but something
solid would surely be a better solution…

Ok, here is another option as I found that the Neoprene was not quite
thick enough with one layer to hold the clip secure but, it is too thick for 2
layers…. This is self adhesive Velcro. I stuck 2 pieces of the hook side
together and then stuck 1 peice of loop on top of that… I then stuck it to
the breech in the slot where the clip slides in… It is a perfect
thickness and the loop allows the clip to slide in smoothly and provides
some tension on the clip to hold it in place…

Peice of delrin machined to the right height would be more durable I’d think…. If you have the equipment that is.

Absolutely YN…. Great idea…. I am hope that someone will come up with
the perfect solution that doesn’t require machining but it would be well
worth the effort to make this clip work….

It just came to mind that that Neoprene could be attached
to the rifle instead of the clip…DAHHH!
I will try that to see if it works as well…
Seems much more simple than fitting it to
each clip….

Hey Mam’ nice bike 😀
There seems to be some old geezer sitting on it though? Your Dad maybe??

😆 😆 Just yankin’ ya chain 😀 😀

Funny how the brain builds a mental picture of someone, and its very rarely anywhere near when you see an actual piccy!!

Hope I look as good as that at that ripe ol’ age! 😀 😎

LOL… I like to think of myself not as old but, highly experienced lol
I think about that all the time pab… I have never met anyone that looked
like I thought they would… The key to longevity is to refuse to grow up.
Being a grown up is highly over rated….lol Thanks for the kind words, it
warms these tired brittle bones….lol

Or were you constipated and do not like rice rockets? 😆 😆

That was my nephew’s bike. We wanted to send him a pic of it. This was
just after my brother had fixed it after my nephew had wrecked it for the
second time…..lol My brother and I had to test ride the crap out of it to
make sure it was safe… 😯

I thought we had rules against saying, “Afro-American Engineering.” 😕
I believe the new term is, “Presidential Solution.” 😆

Nice job with the magazine!

Oh man!…. What was that? Sounded a lot like a can of worms being
opened…lol
Thanks r60us
