Nice guns Nuglor!

I am getting into these now as well. I have decided to take the cautious approach and heed the advice of many on here–like Nuglor–who know more than me…any stock crossman tubes will remain co2 guns for me and my kids.

Any pcp, or HPA 22xx guns will be built with a cut down discovery tube and a discovery valve. You can fill these with air or co2…your choice!

I am building a nice 2550 LW barrel HPA with a disco valve and tube, and a 3,000 psi 51ci tank with a 2,000 psi reg in it. I will post pics when it is complete.

For now enjoy your carbine. Search the yellow and green for info on valve mods, etc. Happy shooting!

The most I’ve been able to get out of a modified 22XX is about 750 fps with Crosman Premier 14.3’s on Co2. That includes a bored out and smoothed valve, a heavier hammer spring and bulk fill. I wouldn’t put HPA in the Crosman tubes. To big a chance it will explode in your face using the pressure you would need for higher fps. Co2 can get up to 1300psi on a nice and hot day.
