Q:

To be or not to be, meaning single or multi….

So, I am facing the choice, either to spend another half a year/one year to make the multi shot breech for Matador .30 or to make 100 long R3 Matadors .30 single shot withing few months, with new valve (more solid to the energy) and new hammer (heavier especially for .30).

What do you think?

i just ordered two single shot breech ,,,one for my Edgun 2nd for my friend,,,, i might use the SS breech for almost long time,,, and i vote to a SS breach as well,,,, with upgraded valve and hammer…. also let more 100 folks get their .30 cal Edguns and have fun,,,instead of waiting for one more year,,, or so,,,

i am sure most will vote for SS breaches,,,

I agree, Robert . Well said.

The Uncle is right too. I never saw the need for a MS with my R3’s in .22 and definitely don’t see the point for the .30.

No one really needs a multi-shot .30 at this time.

Jep, until Kalibr comes up with an perfectly working .30 (.35?) multi shot Cricket.

Maybe less ss and keep the r&d going on the ms.
Quality over quantity.

Wise move…because Uncle Hoot says “Single Shot” with improved valve/hammer. Superior performance will always trump speed of reloading.

No one really needs a multi-shot .30 at this time. Spend your time and money to improve the single shot before you try to satisfy the few who want a magazine fed .30!

Hi Ed,

I own one of your 30 caliber Longs and for me the single shot breech works just great. The time to reload is minimal. For me a single shot rifle is about the patience to wait on the perfect shot then it’s been lights out. The only pest control with my .30 cal has been on raccoons and I have never needed a followup shot within a range from 15 yards out to 55 yards. I vote for the single shot. I’m curious how the other 20 .30 cal owners in the first USA shipment feel about their single shot BPs or if any want to go to multi. I think redesigning the 30 cal valve stems would be a great upgrade also.

Hi Ed,

Good to hear from you.
I would be voting for the .30 cal in single shot myself, and preferably in a standard length but if a long is all that is available you can put my name down for one now.
As regards a multi .30 cal, I would not think you would need a follow up shot after that size of round hits it’s mark !

Keep up the good work Ed !

Nobody wants single anymore it doesn’t make no sense. You want to shoot single load up the mag and pretend you’re shooting single. And for God sake if you’re going to do multi, do it right!

I’m still hoping for .357 single shot Long bullpup that can push JSB .357 pellet well past 900fps 🙂

Vote for single shot .30 long, for more shot count and higer power!

I have a standard 30 cal and really like it. I vote single shot but am surprised that the new lot will be all longs as well.

If I was going going to buy any other bullpups I’d want it in single shot …..

Ed heard rumor u lowered ur prices. Is this true? What is your prices if so?

Hey Ed,
My vote goes to single shot regardless of time..
Why no std length .30cals?
