Im gonna take the advice and order all new part….Thanks for all the help guys !
I found a situation where accidental discharge can occur, it could happen to any of us who own an airforce rifle. Suppose you have a pellet in the rifle, and for whatever reason you remove the tank and proceed to pull the trigger. Now you have the loaded rifle, in an uncocked state. At a later time when you install the air tank, if you try cocking the gun but the bolt handle slips from your fingers before it fully cocks, the bolt will slam closed on the tophat and shoot the pellet. Yeah its kind of an odd scenario but I guarantee it has happened to more than one of us (well at least ONE of us I can guarantee).
This is one reason I only install the air tank with the bolt in the forward position.

take out the safety and bin it
end of problem
real safety is between yer ears anyhoo 🙂
Now that we’re talking about it, does AF provide a parts list with prices? If so, where would one find it?
Or is it just a matter of calling and telling them what you need?
Each part is $5 from AF – There are 4 parts, and I’d recommend replacing all of them, I think S&H is around $5 for a small order.
.
+1 for this.
Just the cost of boxing and shipping the gun will probably cost as much or more than the new trigger group pieces from AF. Plus you’ll be SOL for “x” number of weeks waiting to get the gun shipped back.
I have nothing against you sending it back to Tony, but it will be a lot faster to order new parts from AF. Since you already know how to install them, youll be back in business in 2 weeks max.
I doubt Tony will disagree.
Try moving the spring forward so it sets on top of the sear right in front of the hole that it usually sets in . When I removed my safty it was what I had to do to get the sear to set . Marvin
Welp I fucked it…Stretched the spring and it held fine for awhile then started again..Took it back apart vised up the sear and filed the notch deeper being careful not to round it off….Drops the hammer the second the safety is touched…I’ll PM Anthony and see if he has an opening.. 🙁
Stretch your sear spring a bit.
It usually will take care of it.
There you go 😀
Does it have adjustment screws just infront of the trigger and the part of the frame opposite the trigger (right under the breech?).
If so, back out the top screw a little bit. Might have too much preload.
OK…I’ll get into her soon and see if that fixxes her…Thats for the help and the pics/link guys….Pics sure make this easier !!!!!
GTBJ…No Sir…Ive not modded anything cept the front bushing..The previous owner may have though..

Here’s a post where Cyg told me where to work on the trigger parts.
Hope this helps.
CFX did you “polish” your trigger parts?

I think filling a gun with a pellet chambered is just wrong….
