Tried all TH settings, no dice, and yes never put the pogo stick sping in and don’t think it is necessary.
Is it all about removal of the PW thing a ma bob?
I think what threw me was a post about some cat with a stock spring and all with the bk valve getting 900 +
My bk valve ain’t any where close.
Tank filled o 2600 psi, and I have no action.
Will say same gun with the mod. talon valve hittin pretty freckin hard.
So what is the dif.between a modded talon valve and a blood valve?
I have a 85 gr. hammer stock spring.
The Brad valve seem to not wanna open?

If your breech has a well in it, you need to fill it in to make the breech flat faced.
cut the damn spring Saw and make it work, so what if it is not perfect, it at least should work.
and Pab, do you have to machine the breech down as well, cause my Brad vale is pushing at about 273 fps.

Are the valves pretty consistant with the velocity strings and how is the shot count?

I have published strings from Blods valve. VERY CONSISTANT AND AS MUCH POWER AS YOU WANT!! (within reason

I have stated my theories on why the guys are having problems with the spring. TAKE THE FUCKIN’ POS POWERWHEEL OUT AND USE SPACERS 🙄 🙄 🙄 🙄 🙄 🙄
That powerwheel is massively over compressing the spring.

Yeah modded valve. And it can go even faster but this is fine for 16gain JSB.
It took me a while to consider if that pic is safe for this thread it is kind of distracting 😀

Saw, take anyone claiming to get 900+fps with a stock spring with a pinch of salt. Unless he was firing 5gr pellets. I have three springs, the stock AF one, a somewhat stronger one supplied by Leupy and one of Blod’s. I tried Leupy’s spring with a number of valve and hammer-weight combinations, and at no point could I get decent FPS numbers. The fact is the valve has to be held open long enough for sufficient air to get out of the bottle, and the heavier the pellet the more air is needed. How much air can get out is determined by the size of the hole through which it’s escaping and the duration the hole is exposed. This process is subjected to a combination of factors. The bigger the hole the more force is required to overcome the strength of the vacuum. And the bigger the hole the quicker the vacuum will force it shut again. Then there’s back-pressure, caused by pellet-weight. All these forces have to be understood and balanced, something which Blod has done superbly. I’ve done it too, though a little differently to Blod (he has a bigger aperture feeding a smaller bore, I have a smaller aperture feeding a bigger bore). But both of us would agree, a stock spring will NOT make the nut. No way, ever. Laws of physics.
