You caught me, it actually range finder’ed at 50.1 yards, I would’a used a dime but i don’t have that kind of cash laying around… Love that pretty blue water out in the islands so i took a job out here rubbing sun tan lotion on visiting playboy playmates, Hef is getting too old for it and asked me for a little help.

I swear that little march scope holds zero tighter than the Hawkes and helps me shoot tighter groups with the Lelya. I am forever shooting two shots through the same hole on leaves in the trees outside the sun room here where I pop birdies all the time. I am going to move it over to the Ed short Matador and try it there. Would be a shame to be leaving accuracy on the table and not realize it, but you ought to get something for your $$ with the march stuff. I really had not shot the Lelya off a bench before and was surprised the sexy little bitch would shoot right with my Cricket, and with half the scope zoom too. !!! bad ass little gun for sure, just talked with mark and it is set up at about 780 fps and 24 FPE.

Doug…

Gotta real shot count with that?
I’m partin ways with my .25 bug, and want a smaller package in lower caliber with a decent shot count.

I mostly only use it for 10 to 30 yards around the yard and home woods and not sure I have taken many 50 yard shots with the Lelya until tonight, target looked a long ways away compared to what I was used to with it.

Having trouble getting settled on the bags here with the Lelya wearing the 1-10×24 march scope on 10x ……..10 shot group…

I instantly felt the low right shot as being me and the gun did not throw it. Feeling a bit better on the bags. …. 6 shots ….Lelya wearing the 1-10×24 march scope on 10x

Dr Steele’s .22 Cricket Compact with a 6-24 SW30 Hawke , just to keep things honest and prove I am a lousy shot.

Ride’….may you burn in the seventh level of hell for doing this to me! Now I am going to have a more difficult time waiting for my “Woman” to arrive. January/February…isn’t that like next year???

Furthermore, I don’t think that’s a real nickle on your target! Are you certain it was 50 yards, not 50 feet? You mentioned “Bag” problems trying to get a firm hold to shoot. Why not use a gun rest instead of your wife’s butt???

“Bimini” is your location???? Didn’t we blow that island clean off the ocean floor back in the 50’s, when the scientists were still figuring out how to make an H-Bomb?

Who is this Dr. Steele anyway? why is his target identical to yours?

I see it’s time for my meds…

Kindest regards,

Simple-minded, going blind and deaf,

Tony,

I did not hear back from you, I emailed last evening wanting to order a .22 and .25 Lelya ?? I will send again if I do not hear from you on this thread.

I’m done with emailing everyone from the waiting lists.
A few bounced back due to non-valid email addresses.
So if anyone feels left behind please email me direct.
I have most of OEM O-rings in stock.

I got 3 PM’s and or emails today about my Lelya, how it shoots and how loud it is so I decided to brave the heat and just see since it has never been benched since I have owned it. I got it from a friend who had it and it shot great so i don’t know the speed either. Shooting 18 grain Edgun pellets. I found it was not the easiest to get to ride the bags but regardless this is my 50 yard targets from a half an hour ago. Remember I got 50 year old eyes and am not a marksman but an avid plinker. First pic is a 10 shot group I shot when I first sit down and was struggling with the bags configuration, never got it great but the second pic was feeling a little better and was my best 6 shot group.

These are about nickel sized bulls eyes as you can see in a couple of the pictures…

FWI, It is not loud, I really don’t think it is any louder than my Matadors or Crickets. In fact I am surprised Ed is trying to quiet it further as I thought there was ” no issue ” cudos to Ed for trying to make it better anyway. I bet this effort is for the 25 primarily. The Lelya’s shoot great and are one of the funnest air guns I have ever shot. I wouldn’t be ordering 2 more if it weren’t.

Any chance of a .22 morana production run in the near future?

Na, just give him :hoot: a t shirt and me too for suggesting such an economical solution 🙂

Ed,

Can you post a pic of the Veles with the soft touch?

Hi Ed,
For lelya .177, do you also have extra moderator that can be screwed on available? like this one.

His use of an eccentric (oval) shaped moderator may negate the need for an extra LDC on the end. At any rate, trust that on this forum there will be many answers to extra sound issues, if one even exists.

Remember Ed cannot export such an item to the U.S. So we need to do it ourselves.

A better question would be to ask Ed will the muzzle end of the shroud will be threaded to accept an add-on device.

That may or may not be possible. We’ll deal with that after we receive the merchandise and get a chance to test it.

Hoot:

Thanks for the added specs Ed. The Lelya .22 sounds like a good combination of shot count and FPE. Would you happen to have a pic of the old vs new Lelya with this new shroud?

Good afternoon Ed. Exists the possibility of reducing energy Lelya 0.177 increasing the shots count? It is regulated? I appreciate the response.

yes, it is possible just with hammer spring tension, without taking regulator. What energy do you want to have?

Would be 12 ft.lb. Would measure how many shots we would have this configuration and the accuracy would remain the same? Abs.
