Yep you got it, set it just like the one you take out. I understand but Evgeny would like the old bolt returned, that’s what he’s asking people to do for the exchange.
TT, very easy to replace. Just be very careful when removing side plate screws, lots of guys have broken off the hex head trying to remove the screw. Screws are metric. If you have the newer version HST then all you’ll have to do is back it out, but mark it and count how many revolutions it takes so you can reinstall it to the same spot.
…so with the new hammer and spring, it is reinstalled to the same physical setting as the old one?
My gun shoots so dang good, I think I’ll just get the new hammer/spring JIC something happens down the road. I hate to mess with it right now as good as it is shooting! I’ve applied a lot of RTV to the sparrows n starlings around my bird houses! (Room Temperature Vulcanizing) 🙂

So I am getting a new hammer sent to me tomorrow. Are they hard to replace? Does the hammer come with instructions/bolt torque specifications? Will gun need to be retuned after replacement of the hammer?

I have only had my Vulcan .25 2 weeks. Should I send my Vulcan serial # in to see if it needs a new hammer? If you guys think I should what is the email I need to send it to?

Emailed Evgeny on 15 Feb and he said then it will be in the mail next day. How long did it take for you guys to get his package here in he US? I sent him a follow-up email couple of days ago asking for a second kit for my other Vulcan (1st Gen .25 I bought from Travis at WAR). He just confirmed that he sent both kits.
Thanks for posting the info on the two hammers. I am told that the added rim in the middle (spring guide) is “to avoid axial displacement and that the spring does not cling to the housing”.

I emailed Evgeny today ( sunday USA ) about a hammer. Within one hour, he emailed back and said parts will go out tomorrow !!! That is what I call service beyond the call. Very, very impressed.

Ok the reverse drill bit worked. Got the hammer and spring changed out. Everything is working great.
I had to use a reverse drill bit for mine.
But try to give them a solid tap before you try to unscrew them. But if you stripped the hex you need a reverse drill bit. Go with a bigger one first
