Q:

Vulcan 25 with heavies?

How does the Vulcan or Vulcan2 25 push jsb heavies? I’m wondering what FPS and if it stays accurate I’m really wanting a bullpup and trying to pick it or cricket. I know they are both accurate with 25grn, and I like the mid cock lever on the Vulcan.

Might want to recheck the AT installment.
May need to rotate the AT 180 degress, is the valve port facing up into the TP ?

I would say the hammer isn’t hitting hard enough now that the reg has 140bar pushing. If the hammer won’t turn up anymore, turn the reg down. Im Guessing that is the issue.

Dear Zonk, do the words ” hold my beer and watch this” ring a bell for you? I hope your former friend is not upset with you and your fuxing skills.
No really, this sort of thing happens to everyone, normal, kind of!! 😛
Uncle Hoot :hoot: , has been absent for some time now, I know you miss him.

Took my buddy’s regulator out today to check what bar setting it was at on his .25 Vulcan. It was at 140 bar, I filled airtube to 200 bar and reinserted into receiver. Cocked the gun and it wouldn’t fire at full force. Almost like the hammer wasn’t hitting the valve at all, any one else have this happen?

Go with the .30

I’m thinking of some 30-50yrd coyotes and possums. Plus some 100-150yrd starlings in the field. I had a coyote about 75ft from me earlier this week watching me leave for work. My neighbors wife just retired and used to work nights…. so no more 7mag or 204 for the yotes.

You guys shooting the 34 gr pellets at 900 fps plus what you shooting with them.
My Cricket .25 will fire the 34 gr pellets at 840 FPS , The euro doves are almost dead before the pellet makes the very loud impact.  , Thats one of the reasons I jumped over the 30 caliber and drooped down to the 177 , I know I can get the Cricket up to the 900 FPS pretty easy, But man its a loud hit. My pest are just not that big.
I have shot a few sparrows with the 34 gr pellets, Nothing really to clean up,

I hate dealing with dead sparrows , Please do not send me any, :winkn:

Yes Crank I have one of the early Vulcans. I’m going to raise my buddy’s reg pressure maybe this weekend to get to 920 fps. He bought it used and the guy told him he had it tuned by someone else. The spring adjuster is so far turned in I can’t back it out with my adjuster, I have to turn my adjuster down at the end .11mm to get it out.

I’m guessing you guys have the Vulcan1, I’m guessing that the Vulcan2 will be slightly faster. I saw a shot string posted that showed lower 920s on the 25grn jsb.

FM do you remember what bar he set your reg at?

Ernest tuned mine to toss the 34gr at 865-870fps for 4mags 32 off reg but 36 good shots. One hole at 37yd optimum zero.

Crank, we just tested my buddy’s .25 Vulcan that he picked up last night, with the heavies this morning. At 50 yards he was grouping about 3/4″ to an inch, and the velocity was 780 fps. The reason for the larger group was that the scope he threw on just to test the gun was set parallex free for 100 yards, it wasn’t adjustable, so at 50 yards it was blurry.
Then we tried JSB 25 gr, 1/2″ to 3/4″ at 50 yards and the velocity went up to 870 fps. I adjusted the trigger down to 10 oz before we started shooting.
